Works on my network with win XP Pro and Win 98SE Works fine. set up three of them on my network. 3 XP Pro computes computers and one running Win 98SE. Need to change the defauld IP addresss on each additional DP-301P+ after you use the default ip address for the first one (using the web browser to access the units ). For win 98 you have to go read the manual on the CD (a .PDF file) for installing on win 98, and ME ect..and run the included software to install the print client for the network. Shares printers wireless/wired reliably. Not for digital pix Got this on sale cheap and put several printers onto wired ports on my Linksys WRT54G home WLAN. The quick-start info is all you need for setup. Works ok under Win XP Pro & Linux Fedora 3 provided printer is powered on before you need it; otherwise an incomplete file is sent and you get pages of garbage from Postscript printers at least. Never did work..... Spent 5 hours of my life that I'm never getting back time trying in vain to get this to work. The instructions were for Windows XP, I'm still running ME.... The internet gave no help. Supposed to be easy to set up via the web browser - but I could never connect to that setup page... Did ALL the stuff on the D-Link support page, none of it worked. No step by step instructions on how to set up for ME! Horrible, truly horrible product - vile support.

Comments: I have about 8 of these in production on HP laserjets and they constantly loose connectivity. Its a well known fix that you have to pull the power from the D-Link and plug it back in to get back to printing.

Bad product support I set up everthing according to the Quick install. All setting is correct but i still could not print. I call Technical support,on hold for 20 minuts then told me he was not the right support agent. Back in the loop i go . wait for 30 more minutes 2nd agent told me the same thing. Don't waste your time calling thier support. if it work out of the box great if not return it don't waste ur life like i did.

Works Nicely Once Set-up - But Not Easy to Set Up I almost gave this unit 4 stars, but in thinking about it, it's still new on my network (2 days and has not yet stood the test of time) and the installation was not very easy.
This is nice hardware, but set-up is not intuitive and you have to adapt and improvise. It helps to be tech savvy (as other reviewers have pointed out.)
My first tip is that if you're on a machine with XP, go with the PS Admin program first to do most of your initial set up there.

Doesn't work on Windows Vista or Windows ME, but it does on XP This seems to be a good product, if you are using Windows XP. It worked well on my XP machine on my home network, but wouldn't work on my machines using Windows ME or Windows Vista. I learned this sad fact after spending too much of my time with D-Link Tech Support. Fortunately, Amazon refunded my money and paid for the return freight. After returning the D-Link DP-301P+, I used a Hawking HPS1P Print Server for my Windows Vista and Windows XP machines, and upgraded my ME to XP, which works well....

Pros: It works with an HP Business Inkjet 2230 which wasn't on the HCL.
Cons: Setup can be somewhat of a hassle. To simplify things I found its best to disable UPnP & MAC Rendezvous on the print server and set a static address that suites your network. Not Easy to configure Print server requires fairly in depth knowlage to set up. After setting ip address and being able to ping the address. I could still not get my offices printer to work properly. Even worse the support from D-link support was poor to say the least. I returned the item and bought a hp printer that had a nic port included in printer
