Pros: A very fast & inexpensive drive. 32mb cache is nice and its quiet... most of the time. Upgraded from a defective Barracuda, which was also 7200rpm, but the Caviar Black destroys it in load speed.
Cons: Occasionally sounds like a little diesel engine when idling for a period of time, making faint, but very quick tat-tat-tat sounds...

Pros: Overall this is an excellent hard drive for the money. It has a 32MB cache over the SATA II 3.0 Gb/s interface with a rotation speed of 7200 RPM. It's also very quiet and has simple diagrams on the drive for jumper settings. So far this drive has run flawlessly and it is extremely fast.
Cons: Be prepared to lose almost 50GB in formatt...
