Belkin wireless modem--I'm a convert I had a phonex wireless modem jack for my Tivo, which worked and still works great. I got a phonex for my friend for his computer to connect to the internet. The distance from the transmitter jack to the receiver jack was probably further than in the case of my Tivo. Anyway, the Phonex did not work. I returned it, and decided to try the Belkin. Works with DirecTV Tivo I returned the GE InstaJack and bought this item because the InstaJack did not work with the DirecTV Tivo. A quick call to the DirecTV support line revealed that only 3 wireless phone jack replicators are compatible. This Belkin product was one of them. After super-simple setup, my DirecTivo was able to dial out for updates. Thanks Belkin!

Wireless Jack w/DSL and TIVO Caller ID Works like it should. Many (or most) don't if you have a DSL phone line. Forget Radio Shack's, GE's and RCA's.

Works just like it should... We bought a house with far fewer jacks than we needed thinking we would have them installed later. After pricing this option and coming up with something in the range of $500 to have it done, I started looking at these wireless extension systems. Working Great for Direct TV TiVo I bought this when my old RCA jack died after about 7 years-- this one seems to be doing the job just fine! I like that I had to "program" the transmitter to work with the receiver- a feature not on the old jack. This makes it so no one can steal the signal, or if you have multiple phone lines you could use multiple wireless jacks in the same environment.

Use for TIVO I plugged this item in and it worked right away. I moved the receiver to different AC plugs and it worked just fine. I've had other similar devices that never worked.
