Pros: I bought the TS-209 Pro to serve as off server storage for my pictures, music and DVDs. My HTPC and Xbox360 can both access it simultaneously without slowing down access to my server. I even record HD video directly to the device without a stutter using an HDHomerun.

Pros: Core functionality as a NAS is quick and easy to set up. It only took about half an hour to get the system unboxed and set up, to get the drives installed, and to do the basic configuration (add another hour to get the RAID mirror sync'd up). Pros: Pretty quiet, low power consumption, well constructed, great NAS box with some flexablity and a lot of features.
Cons: The download station doesnt work that great.
Other Thoughts: looks nice. QNAP seems to put updates out regularly.

Pros: Well, the printed documentation was quite easy to follow.
Cons: (1) The unit came DOA. It just wouldn't take the firmware or finishing initializing.
(2) Sometimes the device could be seen by its configuration utility, but most of the time it could not.
