Great Product !

Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: This product is so cool. It comes with MySQL and PHP installed. WOW! How cool is that. It is VERY fast as well. Somewhere online I read it has a 500Mhz CPU which I believe it! The php and mysql run so fast!!! I'm actually using it as an intranet for our small business. Works perfectly for that. Pretty much it works exactly as advertised but don't make any assumptions before you buy.

This user purchased this item from Newegg

Pros: Fast - Data transfers about twice as fast+ as TS-101 series. All the features of the TS-101 plus... NFS, Windows Active Directory support, Web server includes support for PHP/MySQL and SQLite. Extended FTP functions. Configurable Management Port. IP Filtering. Great for small business/SOHO. I would even say great set of features for the Home Use...

I *love* this NAS

Tech Level: average
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg

Pros: Very easy to set up. Runs cool. Looks great. Fast.

Cons: The BitTorrent client isn't very configurable. USB/print server doesn't work with HP Color LaserJet 2550L. But these are minor complaints.

Pros: Very sleek in design and very quiet (no fan). Aluminum casing discipated heat very efficiently. I put recommend WD 500GB hard drive in it and it works FLAWLESS. Really space saving since I live in the very small condo. I have not tried the printer function yet.

Cons: The documentation is not very clear. I have to trial-a...

Nice Feature Set

Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
This user purchased this item from Newegg

Pros: Very good software set included to serve as iTunes and media server. Setup using the included disk is very painless. Good manual on CD.

Cons: Hardware install is easy, with one exception. Illustration suggests the unit slides apart from the ends. HOWEVER, its really a clamshell and needs to be pulled apart from the sides along an almost invisib...

Great product

Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
This user purchased this item from Newegg

Pros: High functionality & quiet. Does everything that it should and more.

Cons: None worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: While there are certainly lots of forum posts about HDD not spinning down when the TS-109 isn't being used, my Hitachi 1TByte drive works just fine. Users need to remember that if external access req...

Pros: Very highly featured. Elegant understated design. No fan, so silent (excepting for inability to spin hard disc down).
