No problems for the past 2 years! Found a need for a third bridge in my home network, so I went looking for another SMC 2870 (discontinued now, however). If you're looking for a reliable 802.11g bridge, this one works well, has good range and with the dual antennae. I have used this with a game console directly plugged into it, but usually have a 4 port switch plugged into it so I can share the connection with multiple wired devices (including my ReplayTV DVRs). Great Value, Easy setup I bought this unit to turn my ITVN into a wireless unit. After having tried Linksys and Netgear with no luck, I gave SMC a try. It was able to set it up on my 2nd try. It took about 30 minutes and it's been working seemlessly with my DSL (2Wire) Router. If you have networking experience and know how, by-pass the wizard and go through the web interface. It's much easier to customize and configure. It worked so well, I ordered a second one for future. A definite steal.

Great with Slingbox This product was a steal! Needed a bridge for my slingbox, as my linksys gaming bridge (WGA54G) crapped out (never was that good anyway). Have a Linksys router (WRT54G). Took a little trial and error to get the SMC hooked into the network. The default gateway that the SMC wants to install is 192.168.2.1. Works Great Easy Setup I bought this for use with my Slingbox attached to my DVR. I had previously purchased another wireless bridge, i spent a lot of time trying to configure it and get it to work. i finally gave up on the other one and ordered this one. This one only took few minutes to configure with advanced security and ip settings. It has worked perfectly. It is also an amazing price, 1/2 to 1/3 of other wireless bridges.
