Pros: Worked right out of the box. As soon as I confirmed that the router was in a good working condition (refurbished), I installed the dd-wrt firmware. This thing came to life. Everything was blazing fast. Oh... I forgot to mention ... I'm using this as a repeater bridge!!!. How awesome is that!

Fast but Range is a bit lacking I replaced a Linksys 54G router with the WRT600N and am pleased with speed, however the range is no better than the 54G.

Linksys WRT600N Situation: Internet Modem was tucked away by cablevision techs in a small room in my basement. My bedroom is 4 stories up, so imagine that there is 4 flights between router and my computer. I did have to buy an 'N' adapter (usb)for my laptop to go along with this 'N' Router. This router's signal made it's way through 4 floors and I got that signal to connect me consistently every day, and it's pretty darn fast. Just as good as new retail If you are worried that you don't get a nice unit, don't be. I would say it's hard to tell the diff from new retail. It had the latest firmware and worked perfectly. So whats different? for the 60% off the price of new, you don't get the same box a new retail unit comes it. It comes in a plain white box that makes it clear this is not a new retail unit. Second, the warranty is less, and oddly enough, the nice little stand that makes these stand upright was not there. I don't know if it should be...

Cons: The router works OK, but the radios are completely dead. No LEDs, nothing. Security LEDs work, though. Wi-spy detects no wireless transmissions, so the radios must be toast. Going through RMA process with Linksys will not be as nice as Newegg...

Fast and Versatile The gigabit network switch really sped up the network connections to my Calvary network drive. No it operates like a USB connected drive. I have not tried the USB connection on the WRT600N as of yet. The wireless connections are very stable. Setup was easy using the Wizard software. Being familiar with Linksys router setup, I could have done the setup work without the wizard but used it to make sure that I didn't forget addressing any of the needed settings.
