Works on my cable without a box! I ordered this TV to take advantage of the HDTV channels available over Comcast Cable in the San Francisco Bay area, without having to rent Comcast's pricey cable box. It fills the bill perfectly.

Very good product, all I expect in a small tv. Good Tv ideal, clear image and good resolution its ideal for small spaces like kitchen, rooms, etc. a lot of function and good price and good brand.

Wonderful 19" TV I ordered this TV over a month ago and have been very satisfied since day one. I ordered from Amazon on a Friday and it arrived three days later on Monday. Setup was very easy and the built in tuner found 45 channels (about 15 are analog). We use a 30 year old antenna strapped to the chimney and the picture is great! I strongly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a small TV.

Adequate For the purpose of having an aesthetically pleasing t.v. in the kitchen - one that has to be perched on top of the refrigerator - this works just fine. The 19" screen may not be large enough for bigger kitchens but for mine it's just right. Installation and set up were super easy. It took only a couple of days to get used to the few seconds wait it takes for the t.v. to come on once 'power on' is hit on the remote. Very Good Picture Quality, Inferior Tuner Sensitivity I live in a "fringe" area for OTA reception in a densely wooded neighborhood 30 miles from the cities and have a rooftop antenna with a pre-amplifier system. I currently own Hitachi, Sony and Olevia TVs with built in ATSC tuners and find the Toshiba 19AV500U has the most trouble maintaining good reception from several of the HD channels. I've tried hooking it up to the other antenna leads in the house and results were the same so I've concluded the tuner sensitivity is not as good as my other ...

Toshiba? Doesn't work! We bought this Toshiba about three weeks ago for our office. It gets used a couple hours each day, mostly as background noise. Twice now the TV has been turned on and all we get is audio. No video. After turning the TV off and back on, then we get both audio AND video. Very troubling. BTW, when we get a picture, it's good.

Colors Are Too Good To Be True This Tv is ,in my opinion, the best lcd in its size range. It gives you the option to control the backlight which HELPS cut down "edge lightbleed"(I try not to sweat it too much)it's found on all lcd tvs and monitors I've ever seen..
Its kind of hard to see the "lightbleed" in stores because of the great HD connections stores have,,,as well as the high lighted store rooms.

Horrible Little TV Bought this for the kitchen. Hooked up Directv via HDMI and was shocked at how crappy the picture was. Dark, low contrast and the viewing angle is very limited. Played with the settings a bit but it got no better. My only other LCD is a Sony Bravia (it looks amazing).
I'm not a video freak and that hard to please, but this is one little crappy TV.

Great little tv Just picked this up for my kitchen. Hooked it up to Directv HD and it really is a nice picture and a great looking tv. Though I bought it 5 days ago from Amazon for $334.99 it's now priced @ $349.99 @ Amazon, why?? Anyway great buy, very happy with it.

Ready to go with no adjustment needed I just received this tv on04/25/08. I had looked at others and even bought two of them thinking that they would do just fine. I had to return the others I had bought and decided on the Toshiba. This is the third Toshiba set I had bought with the last one a 26" Regza and will buy no others. I complement how fast I had received both of the last sets from Amazon.
