AWesome TV I got this one over the 550 due to it has 2 component video inputs in the back 550 only has 1 . Picure is amazing and just too many other things to list. Buy this while you have the chance! This is the best flat screen for the buck I have ever seen. I purchased this with some doubts..but after hooking it up which is simple my doubts disappeared. The picture is great the sound is great hooking it up was a breeze and the cost was in myprice range. I have absolutely no problems with this tv I love it!

Great value for money
The LCD panel on this TV is the same as the one on A550 model. Several people have confirmed with Samsung. The difference in contrast ratio versus A550 is a typo apparently.
What I like about this tv:
-great picture quality (search avs forum for professionally calibrated settings for this TV. It made a significant difference in picture quality
- good sound for everyday tv watching
-good quality ATSC/QAM tuner ( I pulled in channels that I didn't I had)

Great LCD television for price Great picture quality i just wish it had an automatic picture sizer. when i watch hd channels i switch to hd setting but have to switch back to wide screen for regular channels to make use of full screen

5 Star TV Hi Everyone,

Couldn't be Happier My wife and I purchased a DLP samsung 50 for the size and price you could not beat it. Then we hooked it up and seen why it was so cheap. SAMSUNG RULES!!!! With 5ms response time you dont need the 120hz feature. I have this tv in my livingroom which is only 16 x 20 and it is awesome. The picture is just as good as the high end models. The sound is just as good as my surround system that I dont have hooked up anymorecould be the size of my room or the two speakers on the side and the two in the back YES a total of 4 speakers. With this model you get your bang for the buck.

great TV - looks great This TV is the lower model of the two 5 series but to me this one aesthetically looked nicer than the 550. The 200001 vs. 300001 appears to be a marketing thing because I couldnt tell the difference between the two TVs. Also the exclusion of the USB port for pictures was not a big deal to me.brbrAt any rate the picture is simply stunning. The sould is great too. I dont think youll go wrong with this TV...no need to spend more money. The 120Hz is the one major thing that this was missing but...

Great LCD for the money This is my fourth Samsung LCD purchase over the last 3 years so I am a little biased. I believe this is a great LCD for the money 1599. The main issue that I found was with the skin tone of the people in the picture and the ghosting associated with fastmovement of large objects across the screen.
