Awesome LCD for the money I just purchased this TV from Circuit City on sale yesterday for $1099. Right out of the box, the picture was fantastic. I did tweak it a little--brought the brightness up a bit and the color down at bit, and it looks really good now. I have Time-Warner HD service connected via an HDMI cable--it's awesome. Excellent buy This TV is really gr8. The colors are awesome and HD channels give a crisp picture. The menu is good and easy to navigate. Good contrast ratio and is definitely woth the money. The sound quality is good but could have been better as compared to other TVs. Overall I would recommend it as a gr8 buy

LG ROCKS! I actually work at circuitcity in the TV department and have been here for over a year. I still have the old school tube tvs and finally have just purchased an LG 42lg50 a few weeks ago. If anybody knows about these things I do. Nice TV I've had this TV for a week. Hooked it up to a Comcast HD/DVR via HDMI. HD channels are spectacular as you would expect. Seems to do a good job with SD channels. Black levels seem perfectly fine to me. Overall design is very attractive with hidden speakers and a simple thin chrome strip across the bottom and a light that glows red when in standby and blue when on. Excellent TV I own a Panasonic 50 inch plasma TV - just can't rave about that TV. So, when I needed a 42 inch TV to attach to a PS3 - I was wavering between a plasma (yet again) and LCD tv (the first try). I know Panasonic Plasmas rock - but then again getting PC connectivity was very important consideration, Panasonic Plasma's didn't have a PC port (s-video ports are poor substitute for pc connectivity as picture quality is very very bad). For PC connectivity - you can't beat LCDs.

Simply Awesome LCD TV 5.0 This Lcd is loaded with tech out ranks all the rest. beautiful HD pictures Discovery HD sunrise earth is amazing to watch. I could have paid more money but why? This is beautiful and stylish . You wont be dissapointed at all lg is awesome.

Great television I just recently purchased the TV and am extremely happy with it. The picture is excellent with the HDMI cable which I have connected to an upvert DVD player -- also highly recommend. The price was much better than TVs with the same options without losing any quality.

Great TV Got the unit a few days ago and set it up. Picture is fantastic. The features and options are also terrific. Works great with my home theatre system. The sound quality of the TV itself could be a bit better but its not bad.

AWESOME TV This LCD is awesome the picture is beautiful it took month to decide I had the money to get a 3000 dollar tv but had not thought of lg as my pick but looking at other sets with the same hdtv hookups in the store this one by far is the best the pictures are beautiful found a openbox for1065 rather than 1500 what a deal!!! circuitcity staff was so happy.
