First opinion First Review, Second evening of viewing, Just upgraded from a returned Samsung HP-T5054 which I had for 30 days. (got a great deal, clearance, closeout etc..) Amazing picture and many upgrades from previous model (HP-T5054). Same price as last years model and better overall. Nice finish and slicker features. Thanks to Samsung for offering a Great 720p panel that is sure to be the next big hit for them. Let everyone spend up for 1080, no visible difference to me. Love the swivel stand....

A+ Performer. 720P is stunning only blu-ray uses 1080P your cable company VERY likely wont offer any kind of 1080i or 1080p for years to come...and by then Ill probably have bought another new lcd or plasma...This 720P 50 inch plasma however is outstanding I have my xbox 360 elite with HDMI hooked up to the TV my panasonic home theater with HDMI hooked up as well as my Acer gaming laptop hooked up to the last HDMI for some pretty intense gaming on a 50 monitor! Superb Picture I didnt feel it was necessary to shell out the extra cash for the 1080p version and Im glad I didnt. This t.v. has an excellent picture...in HD its simply stunning. With an HDMI connection to my cable box it makes the regular channels look much better as well. The sound was my only concern prior to buying this...but after hearing it in the store and hearing it mounted on my wall its perfect. It looks fanatastic and is true performer. Its worth every penny!!!

Very pleased Just purchased after looking at a lot of plasmas and lcds. The picture was sharpest of any, including many expensive 1080p sets. As virtually nothing outside of blu-ray is 1080p and virtually all channels are 720p, there seemed no compelling reason to pay twice as much for 1080p. And I'm very glad I didn't as this set looks great using Dish Network and broadcast HD using an antenna.
Also, using a PS3 for blu-ray playback, the picture is tremendous (and the games look great in HD as...

Dollar for dollar the best You cant beat picture quality of this TV even with 1080P. Get the best picture setting from C-Net. Even non HD channels look good but HD will blow you away. The tuner unscrambled channels be careful if kids are in room during setup some were adult only.Easy to setup except for sound youll spend 20 minute trying to adj the EQ. Almost as bright as an LCD but with a more realistic picture. Once its connected to a HT system youll truely fall in love. Place the $800.00 you saved in the Bank & by time...

I should never have bought it......... because now, I'm going to be spending WAY too much time watching television. I bought this set sight-unseen. The price was the biggest factor coupled with some favorable reviews on CNET for other Samsung plasmas. I am no "videophile" so I can live with 720p resolution. Compared to my 10 year old, 27" Toshiba it's like seeing a TV for the first time. I have Verizon FiOS digital cable, which has quite a few high definition channels, so I flipped over to their high-def demo channel and I watched pr...

Best TV for the money, It keeps dropping in price. I originally bought a 52 Magnavox 1080p LCD $1500 even though the CC sales guy told me not to. I brought it home and knew in 10 minutes it was garbage.brbrI traded it for this 50 Samsung based on the salesguys reco. It is a perfect picture. I have 2other large screens and this one is the best so far. No problems with motion blur ice hockey and the deepest blacks I have ever seen. Bravo Samsung.brbrThe only problem I have is the HDMI connections face out instead of down so it gets in the way of ...

Truly Outstanding This is my first plasma but I compared multiple other brands. I was initially drawn in by price but once I got into the store for $100 more than the LG Id been looking at I fell for this one. To add 4 days after I bought my Samsung it went on sale$150 sheaper than the LG so Circuit City gave me the difference back ironically my Samsung came out cheaper than the LG.brbrBefore buying I spoke to my head IT guy at work about how impressed I was by the Samsung. He explained that Samsung uses the b...

Pristine picture except for fast action, great buy!! The picture is fantastic except when there is fast motion then it blurs a bit. One of my buddies commented that its almost too bright. This is still a fantastic buy as I received an additional 10 off the sale price. The resolution of 720P is not a factor for me as I have nothing that produces a higher signal. The size 50 is phenominal in my room approx. 17X16 . 3 HDMI inputs which Im only using two is sufficient for me. Lots of adjustments for picture and sound and a few auto adjustments built i...

Awsome TV First the badbrShiny surface you will have to clean meticulously. The Remote is non universal. It is my Opinion that the menu is poor mainly with color adjustment. It can be difficult to set so I left mine at the highest factory setting there are 3.Honestly I think that is the only thing wrong with the set. Many users complain about the sound naturally it is not true surround but I thought for just a TV it was really good much better then my older 37 LCD.brThe Good I tried to fault this set aga...
