Couldn't be happier! After 6 months of looking and comparing I decided on either the Samsung 52" series 550 LCD or this 58" series 550 plasma. I finally decided that size DID matter. Boy am I happy! Great Plasma After a long process I decided on the New Samsung 58 Plasma HDTV. I compared it to many including the Panasonic which was 900.00 higher.. The Samsung had a much clearer picture darker blacks and brighter whites.. This set compares to the Pioneer Elite but for a third the price. I got it at Circuit City for 2785.00 with a 10 discount after there already low internet frice of 3049.00 .. but you need to call and order they tend to give you a better discount if you talk to a live operator.

Awesome picture I love this TV. The picture quality is better than anything I have seen on the market. The TV is user friendly. The only downside is sound quality but I have a Bose Surround that makes up for that.brIt is almost like watching TV in 3D and it improves picture quality of channels that are not HD.

I just can't believe the picture... We received delivery of this TV on Saturday 412....just as we were placing the final touches on our home theater room. We are only sitting about 9 feet away from the screen but with the Dish Network HD programs and the Bose Lifestyle 28 completing the set-up we couldnt be more satisfied. brWe purchased it at CC and with the $200.00 off and the 10 discount we felt as if we got a good deal. Excellent picture quality and sound with the HDMI cable Of course this TV is great for any home, the picture quality is amazing and if connected with an HDMI cable, the sound improves considerably.
A sorround sound stereo system or a home theater sound system will nicely complement your purchase, but it is the HDMI cable that makes the difference with the sound.
Reflection of light on the screen is not at all a problem.
Captions don't work through component or HDMI cables, only through the coaxial cable, but this is common to all HDTV...
