Great TV, great image I just bought this tv and had it installed yesterday! I was unsure wheter my TV rack would hold it (it was build to hold a 42"), but it's doing just fine! This TV actually feel almost as heavy as my 2007 42", which I suppose is due to new materials used.

Philips hits a home run! I received the Philips 52" 120Hz LCD TV yesterday morning and I have to say I am very pleased with my purchase. Surprise Purchase Turned Out Great I dont usually write too much reviews, unless I am really impressed. I did a lot of research to buy a big screen 52 inch LCD from a trusty Sony Trinitron. Impressive TV with great specs Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: This is one of the few 120hz 52" 1080p LCD TVs with a matte screen, which I prefer over glossy types. It offers top of the line specs like excellent contrast, 2ms response time, and a lot of inputs. Black levels are very good for LCDs, motion is handled quite nicely, and build quality is rock solid. Great built-in speakers if you care about that, which I don't.

WOW Tech Level: somewhat high
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Picture quality, excellent sound, great black levels, awesome refresh rate. Quality product for a a great price. This is a beautiful LCD TV, you will not be disappointed. Loads of features and wonderful for all applications: DVD, Blueray, PS3, XBOX, PC, etc.
Cons: None found so far.

Awesome picture! I am one of those that did all the research and reviews before buying. I must say this TV is great! The picture (in 1080i since my cable company does not yet support 1080p) is crisp and clear. The 120mhz really makes a huge difference when I did not believe it would. The refresh rate also stands out. I mounted it over the fireplace mantle and could not be happier. A whole new viewing experience I bought this TV after my Optoma 50" DLP died on me. I was already used to viewing HD on a 50" screen, so didn't expect to see much difference. But the LCD 1080p 120Hz is something else! I've been watching old movies because the look so crisp. I watched Edward Scissorhands as though I'd never seen it before, and I could make out every line in Pacino's bloodshot eyes in Dog Day Afternoon. I'm sure that last one has been digitally remastered before it ran on HD cable, but WOW!
