What a great product and Amazon Price ! I purchased this Netgear ReadyNAS DUO RND-2150 to replace a D-Link NAS DNS-323. Pros: Great capabilities in a small package. Netgear has pretty much thought of everything in this little NAS. Media storage & streaming, file sharing, privacy, etc., this can do anything a small office would need and also a home computing enthusiast would want. Setup is basic enough for the average user yet has more sophisticated options for the more advanced user.

I have put the Netgear RND2150 ReadyNAS Duo 500 GB Desktop Network Attached Storage through the paces and for me it has passed with flying colors. I own a lot of external storage, and I've configured plenty of NAS devices for work and for home use. While the Netgear lineup of ReadyNAS devices are expensive, the extra features will put them over the top for many demanding users.

Works well after I updated My ReadyNAS Duo shipped with a version of the BitTorrent client that has been known to use 100% CPU even when you are not using it. This caused my device to be VERY slow for the first day I used it. Prior to sending it back to Amazon for a refund I did a little digging and eventually found a version that fixed the issue.
