Great unit Tech Level: high

Pros: Price: When I bought mine months ago it was about 2 bills. Now it's much cheaper.
Size: It fits in a shirt pocket and it has internal batteries so you can even walk around with this. You can even be a passenger in another car and use it without the base and direct the driver.
Accuracy: So far I haven't been lost nor it gave me wrong directions.

I own 3 of this model Just bought this one for my parental units and programmed in my address so they will get the hint and come visit now that they are retired. This unit is awsome. Easy to use ... right out of the box ! Clear voice, easy to read, easy to program ... so simple even a senior citizen can use it !

This is a FANTASTIC GPS ! This is the THIRD Magellan RoadMate 1200 GPS that we have purchased. ( One for each vehicle ) and it is fantastic ! Very intuitve, easy to use & well built. Who needs any of these 500 dollar plus GPS units when you can buy the Magellan 1200 for one hundred and fifty bucks ? Highly rated !

. I received this unit for Christmas and I like it a lot. I like the user interface with the touchscreen. It's intuitive when you can't find it in the manual. Manual mentions an AC charger and USB cable. Try to find it on the Magellan site. But generic USB cables work to see the memory card. Overall, I'd buy it again if it got stolen Pros: Fairly fast lockup. Decent maps. Good user interface. Moderately good battery life. Cons: Terrible documentation. No info at the Magellan site. ...

Pros: For the price, its a good gps. I really didn't need one, but I decided to get something basic. Theres a lot of roads where I live and I drive a lot, so this helps.
