Pros: 1. Large capacity. 2. Much smaller and lighter than 3.5"" external drive. 3. No external power supply is needed. The drive will draw its power from the USB port. 4. I benchmarked the drive with HD-Tune. The drive inside is actually a Samsung HM320JI. Average transfer rate is 35.3 MB/Sec. Access time is 18.7 ms. This is consistent with the performance of an external harddrive. 5. Made in Japan.

An excellent portable 360gb drive I concur with Bryan's review. This Buffalo MiniStation is a winner. The drive needed no special installation and was immediately recognized by my XP/SP2 computer. I also like the wraparound cord storage feature. The extra DC power port and included usb cable for it is a plus but the single usb connection has been all that was needed to date. Great little hard drive This is one of the best hard drives out there. It is easy to use: just plug it in via USB and start dragging files into it. It does not require any electrical outlet, which is great, and the USB cord that comes with the unit wraps around itself for ease of storage or transporting. It fits comfortably in a jacket's pocket, or even in a small purse.

Excellent! Hands down best 2.5" portal HD I have ever owned (and I have gone through many different brands). The enclosure is very solid and tough. Cushions the drive inside better than any one I have seen. You have to install a separare utility to take advantage of the turbo usb feature but it's worth it as it is definitely faster. Good product Came a bit late than expected, but the extra USB power code helps you to connect the disk to old Laptops where the power from single USB port is not sufficient to drive. This is so far a good product

Pros: Works well with MAC and Windows based laptops. Restore speed good.
Cons: Connecting USB cable could have been a bit longer.
Other Thoughts: This device works well with Apple supported backup software as well as IBM ThinkVantage backup software. Tested a full restore and it brought the disk back exactly as it was.

Excellent product This product is so small and powerful. High data transfer speeds and ease of setup makes it one of my favorites. one of the best drives ever Well, this is one of the best hard drives ever. I use it all the time, its a 320GB, which is sufficient space for most people.
