In Search of...2-Line DECT: KX-TG9392T Tries Hard
I own the KX-TG6502 2-line and 5.8GHz handsets. I first replaced them with the Philips dect 2-line SE6591B/17, which although a beautiful looker, was a tough sell for my workgroup because of the menus and feature set. I returned it to Amazon and bought the DECT version of the Panasonic to increase range and decrease AM bleed from a local broadcast tower.

My wife and I got a Panasonic cordless set almost a decade ago, and were quite happy with it. We'd maxed out the handsets, but when a couple of the handsets started getting flaky, we considered trying to find replacements. But given the age, we decided to go with something modern.

GOOD BUT COULD BE BETTER...
These phones are good, but suffer from two limitations. (1) Since the antennas are now internalized, the phones do not cover both floors of my house, unlike earlier Panasonic phones with external antennas. Thus, I have an older phone upstairs in my office, which gets me halfway down my stairs; and THESE phones, which get me halfway up my stairs (one from my kitchen, and the other from my bedroom). Panasonic DECT Phone set
I purchase this product to begin replacing my old Panasonic 5.8 system. We had 5 phones on the old one and one of them quit working.
I am pleased with the new battery setup, should be a lot less expensive to replace batteries. The set up is simple, nice menu, clean display and great clarity. The overall size of the unit is nice, too.

OK, but not for iPhone users
This phone is a decent choice for a 2-line cordless phone. The corded base station is a nice plus and sound quality is excellent. Range is pretty good too.
However, for me, the negatives of this phone were a deal-beaker. The phonebook has no speed dial numbers and it takes multiple keystrokes to get into the menu to look up numbers to dial. Likewise, accessing the caller ID log takes multiple keystrokes to see the log. Both should be single key access from the idle mode.

Good Solution to Merge Technologies
I used this to provide access to both our minimal land line and our VOIP. Our land line company is a mom & pop shop that allows minimal tranfer of numbers. Thus we would have a nightmare changing all of our primary contact numbers to a new number without actually moving. Many Issues with this phone
I will confine this write up to the two major issues-range and phone quality. The quality of the base station is awful. The phone seems to work in a voice activated fashion on the receiving end so there is a dead silence when the party you are speaking to is silent. It's quite disconcerting. Overall sound quality on the wired base is worse than on the portable handsets. Their issue is inferior range-much less than the units that this replaced.
