Vibrant colors and sharp picture
This monitor is my first LCD and was an upgrade to a ViewSonic 17". I cannot get over how beautiful the colors and picture are. I find myself loading up old games and DVDs just to examine the quality.

Bright vivid colors and crisp resolution
I had my doubts about this monitor when I first examined it, because the earlier HP monitor that I owned had a distinct yellowish cast and the colors were not nearly as vivid as the competition. Obviously, HP learned from the marketplace because this monitor features brighter and more vivid colors than any other monitor I have used. Glad I bought it!
I've had the w2007 for about a month, and it's performed flawlessly. It's not an inexpensive monitor, so I'm a bit irked that HP didn't include a DVI cable. If your considering this monitor, remember to buy a DVI cable.

Whites and Warranty Are Disappointing
Update 12/30/2008:
I have since upgraded my video card which solved the problem with the DVI connection. Still love my monitor, would probably go for a 24" next time.

Terrific Contrast; Very Clear Picture
I love the HP monitors that have the Brite Vu technology as this one does. It far exceeds other manufacturers' monitors in terms of clarity of what you are viewing with both words and photos. As far as the picture and clarity on the screen - it is fantastic. Awful monitor
After much research, I purchased this monitor. I made the mistake of not thoroughly researching the differences between types of LCD displays. The most color accurate displays are S-IPS followed by S-PVA. The worse are type TN, which will only ever give you just 6-bit color--262,144 colors. Various blending tricks are done to create the illusion that there are more colors, but fidelity is necessarily compromised.

Good monitor, but color calibrate
I'm one of the ones that also did not receive a DVI capable in the box, but I did pick up a capable at Best Buy for like $20.
For my budget, I like this screen. It's much better than my old Apple Display. However, I'm very concerned about the color resolution. Wrong monitor
Not recommended at all. The monitor provides wonderfully vivid color and crisp text when the screen resolution is set to 1680 x 1050. Any other resolution settings would blur the text and smear the color. The monitor automatically adjusts its settings and warns me that "1680 x 1050 is the recommended setting" everytime I change the screen resolution. I would say 1680 x 1050 setting for 20 inch monitor gives me a bit too small icons and texts that tire my eyes fast. My video card is generic nVidi...

Nice Monitor
I replaced a years old 17" CRT with this one. I tried a 19" wide screen first, but had to return it as it looked smaller than the old one, due to the wide screen. This one is very nice, very bright, great graphics and color. I play a lot of computer games so it works very well for that.
