Purchased this item several months ago. It works great printing labels for envelopes, files etc. There is no ink, it uses thermal imaging instead. It only prints in black and white, but does the job cleanly and the density of the black is comparable to regular laser printers. It uses fonts and typefaces in your word processing program, so there are a lot of fonts/typeface choices.
