I like the service and prices that Amazon provides but I am against them saying that an item used to cost way more than it did so that they can make a false claim that "you save 33%" or whatever such as the 30D for instance. That camera NEVER went for $2100 EVER so what is with the fake savings? The cost of that camera was approx $1299 and if they are selling it for $1100 then great, that was a good price before the 40D came out (underlined). Excellent camera

I have upgraded to 30D from my previous EOS 300D (digital Rebel). The new one is completely different. It is much much faster, easier to use while shooting dynamic pictures (you never need to put camera down to set something). Bigger LCD is also great feature because you can really see if taken image is sharp. And i cant forget larger viewfinder - you can focus manually more accurate with it, because you see more details.

Love it!

This is my first SLR camera. I love it. It is easy to use and the pictures come out great. I have 2 children and 3 "busy" dogs. I have captured wonderful shots that I wouldn't have been able to get on my other digital camera.

Great camera, good lens

Camera has lots of features, takes clear sharp images,lots of lens options, good software, the whole deal. Enjoying using this superior piece of equipment. Some of the most tempting lenses cost more than the camera...Bummer.

Perfect upgrade from 300D (Digital Rebel)

I resisted the urge to upgrade to the 20D from the 300D (Digital Rebel) but couldn't resist the 30D. I have used the 300D for weddings before and found that I was often waiting for the buffer to clear - even when shooting jpegs.

3 huge advantages of the 30D are:
1 - no worries shooting at ISO 800 - even 3200 is usable, (the 300D is ordinary above 400)
2 - 5 frames/sec (the 300D only has a 4 pic buffer @ 2.5 frames/sec, so rapid shooting with it is almost a non-event)
