Great camera for a great price   This is perfect camera for someone who is looking for an entry-level camera that is fairly small, lightweight, has a good battery life (2 AA's), travels well and takes quality pictures on a budget. I wish it had a wrist strap and a slightly faster shutter speed; other than that, it's not fancy, but it does the job quite well! Great for the price   A basic point-and-shoot with some nice features like face detection and stabilization. Was a gift for my wife, and she's happy with it. How is this camera so good?   I wasn't expecting much beyond the nice design, but I can't believe the results I'm getting from a camera I paid $110 for. 1cm macro mode? Great flash exposure without making everyone look like a ghost? No redeye? A programmable print button so I can have a shortcut to exposure compensation? There are many features here Canon used to reserve for their more expensive cameras. The only improvements I'd like are better ability to focus lock on low contrast subjects, a redesigned batter... Perfect for the beginner to intermediate level   I bought this camera for my wife to keep in her purse for those "I wish I had a camera" moments. She loves it! It's not very heavy, and it's compact enough to slip into one of her purse pockets. There are a ton of cool features on this camera, that unfortunately will probably never get used - unless she reads the manual. If you're buying for someone who really just wants to point and click - buy this one. Canon appears to have kept their menus pretty much the same - only a few dif...
