Great camera for a great price   This is perfect camera for someone who is looking for an entry-level camera that is fairly small, lightweight, has a good battery life (2 AA's), travels well and takes quality pictures on a budget. I wish it had a wrist strap and a slightly faster shutter speed; other than that, it's not fancy, but it does the job quite well! Great Camera for the price!   I bought this camera for my 8 year old daughter to use (she has taken great photos with it). It is a simple camera, with not a huge number of settings and great video capacity. I also ended using it a lot because it is so light weight and compact (can fit in a pocket). We are very happy with this camera and with good rechargeable batteries it has a nice battery life. A "1 G card" works well, you should buy one with the camera. I would recommend this camera. How is this camera so good?   I wasn't expecting much beyond the nice design, but I can't believe the results I'm getting from a camera I paid $110 for. 1cm macro mode? Great flash exposure without making everyone look like a ghost? No redeye? A programmable print button so I can have a shortcut to exposure compensation? There are many features here Canon used to reserve for their more expensive cameras. The only improvements I'd like are better ability to focus lock on low contrast subjects, a redesigned batter... Worth the price!   This is a sweet little camera. Pros: Price, Looks, Ease of use Cons: Shutter speed is a little slow, but tolerable. There is not red eye reduction feature, and you zoom with the up and down arrows. For the price and the quality of the pictures I can deal with the cons. I use this as our fun camera. Take it out places you wouldn't want to take your SLR. Amusement parks, Boating, etc. My wife keeps it in her purse. So we always have a camera with us.
