Decent Camera- If you only shoot stills

I received my Coolpix L18 as a birthday gift. For photos, I'd give it only 2 stars. For video, considering what the camera is (a portable webcam), I'd give it 4 stars... Hence the 3 star rating.

For a camera primarily designed for still pictures, the Coolpix camera does a decent job with video. If you're a video blogger, or just want something small that can fit in your pocket, then the Coolpix camera might be for you.

Great Slim Camera

This is a great little camera. I am generally a fan of the larger cameras with a more professional look. I bought this camera because I recently had a baby and I needed something that wasn't so big to carry around. This is a great little camera to slip in the pocket of a diaper bag or in a pants pocket. The pictures it takes are also very good. If you are in a dimly lit room however, the flash does creat a shadow on the bottom of your pictures, so be careful with that. Otherwise this is a ...

Just a question before I buy it...

Is this camera even moderately good at macros? I'm not looking for any kind of professional grade, I just like taking pictures, especially close ups.
