Well I bought this at Bestbuy with all of the gift cards I received. I have A HD 16.9 TV so I thought this would work great with it. Well let me tell you something. Sony and I believe Panasonic have come up with A new video format, its called AVCHD and guess what? This is my first experience with a HD camera. It is worth the difference in price over a traditional camera. The color is beautiful. It is lightweight, can be held in one hand, and is easy to use!

Filming Great Moments

I took the camera to China to film the Olympics and have come back with some great clips. Filmed in the pool (and my son in it!), basketball (the Dream Team!), tennis (Venus) and of course, Beijing the city, so no complaints - great quality and good sound.

love this handycam!

Great camera.......my only concern is the fact that I have to convert the files to make videos that are WMA compatible. Beautiful videos in HD!

4MP still images from a 2MP sensor???

This overhyped product features a 2MP sensor yet Sony states it shoots 4MP still images (INTERPOLATION). Typical Sony!

I found that the software they supply was nearly useless for me, but it was required to make any use of the files that this camcorder recorded. I've used both this and the Canon HF10 and HF100. I'd go for either of those. They are smaller with very high-quality Canon optics and they don't decive about their still image method!!! I also prefer the SANYO HD1000 over ...
