Nice Router - Installed smoothly
I bought this router to replace my old linksys and I have been pretty pleased with it so far. Somewhat foolishly I started installing this whilst I was in a hurry but all was well as it simply plugged in as a replacement and the software installed without issue. The LELA (or whatever its called) software updated the firmware to the latest version automatically and the software worked without fault. The router initially failed to connect to the internet but this was my ISP locking the connection ...

Mostly great product.
I got this router to maximize the speed of the Wireless N connection on my laptop. After setting it to wide channel Im getting the full 300Mbps possible according to my computer. The router is fast and stable in my experience.brbrI have only 2 issuesbr1.Heat. The router get very hot to the touch and so mounting it so it gets airflow is essential and that should help with peoples connection problems.brbr2. When it is setup for wide channel N it doesnt seem to want to let G devices connect and...

Another Winner (Updated)
Linksys did a great job with this product. It is sleek and stylish, while still providing high levels of connectivity within my three story home. I have it installed near the ceiling of my basement.
I am using the 5ghZ "N" band for my PS3 only at this time. The PS3 is connected via ethernet to the Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter. The rest of my computers (PCs, iPhone, and Macs) use the 2.4 ghZ "B-G Mixed" band.
Both networks share the same DHCP pool, but have ...

Overall Very Happy with Router plus Performance
I have bought and tested many different Routers specifically from Netgear and Linksys and this 610N is by far the best performer. I have multiple computers connected across my house and can take my Laptop way to the back of the house which means goingthrough many different concrete walls barriers and overall the performance is still good. Within 30-50 feet the connections are great and the performance is good. I have had it up and running for 1 week now with no failures or down time so the stab...

better than all the critical reviews would have you believe
I bought this router primarily because it was the most expensive, lol. I didn't really think it through at first. My main reason for getting it was that I had a Netgear wireless G USB adapter which I hated because of the poor software. I decided if I was going to buy a new adapter I would get an N adapter. So, I went an bought this router before I ever got the N adapter so that when I got the new adapter I'd be N ready.(I know, I did it backwards considering I had no problems with the old router...

Performs well, but only after I learned the magic encryption settings
I bought mine at a local retailer to replace a WRT54G. I wanted dual channel to support streaming N to a Media Center Extender. It kept dropping wireless connections every few minutes. Tech support gave suggestions, but they didn't help. Finally I did three things to stable it out. 1) Updated to the latest firmware (B18), 2) Reset to factory defaults to wipe out all the (non-successful) changes recommended by tech support, and 3) (the one that really fixed it), switched to WPA2 / AES for m...

Easy to set up, make sure to upgrade firmware
I replaced an existing wired router/wireless access point combination with the WRT610N. The replacement was painless, taking about a half hour, including retyping all of my DHCP reservation and port forwarding information.
The only glitch was that running the Linksys EasyLink Advisor (a tool that among other things, shows you everything connected to your router) reset the router. This is fixed in the latest firmware (level 17, my router shipped with 16).
Speeds have been ...

Great Router!!!
This was my 1st time installing a router and even though I read the reviews about it being so easy I didnt think it would be that easy anyone can do it. I got done setting it up in 5 mins and had my laptop PC PS3 and even my I-Pod Touch connected shortly there after. The security features are great and easy to set as well. It might seem pricy to others but its worth it

A Good Router - If You Need It
Updated: As my title states it is a very good router, but only if you need it. The simultaneous feature only means that you can have items connected to the 2.4GHz band or the 5GHz band. However, please note that this does not mean that your laptop can connect to both at the same time. (I know some people who thought that it would.) That being said, what this feature is good for is if you are surfing the web on your laptop and are also streaming some high definition content to your televisio...

This unit Rocks
This is BY FAR the easiest coolest even best looking router available. Setup was a breeze. A previous reviewer was absolutely correct when he said even a monkey could do it. It just plain works. The LELA program also shows a very cool network topology and alerts you to any network trouble or possible intruders. Way cool! The ONLY downside to this router is the price. Very pricey. But if you can get past that the WRT610N beats everything else hands down.
