Preferred over the linksys 2.4 Ghz N adapter

Tech Level: average
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: works and GUI much easier than the Linksys adapter; using it to write this, now, have them on identical T60 Thinkpads although this one has 3GB of RAM, and its much smoother in operation and GUI works great.

Cons: More expensive than the Linksys; though it works much better (GUI).

Other Thoughts: Using it with the Trendnet Wireless router, too.

after a month's use; very pleased with the Trendnet "N" adapter

Have a USB dongle TP-Link, also, but I've passed on it for the more secure coupling had by the express slot confirmation of the Trendnet "N" adapter. It's very easy to setup; used the drivers on the included CD and slid it into the Express slot behind the side flip down cover of the notebook. It is designed for up to 300 Mbs; I truly don't know how fast my system was operating; it surely seemed fast enough and handled op system updates of MB size with no problem and without those tedious waits...

If you've got an ancient laptop like mine (Thinkpad T20) and you need a wireless card, this one does the trick. Fast, simple, cheap. Buy it.

Best Wireless N PC Card for your money

I needed a card to work on an old dell laptop for the kids which has Windows 2000/sp4. Card arrived in the mail, opened it, plugged it in and installed the driver of the disc. In less then 5 minutes I had the old laptop surfing the internet wireless for around $20!!! I bought this while they had it on sale. Even if you pick this one up for $30 it's still an awesome buy! Haven't tried the wireless N yet because all I have is 802.11g but even so I have no problems picking up my signal from my rout...
