Pros: If there's a shrimpy little antenna on your router, you can just put this on instead, for 1 more bar--the difference between a dropped signal and a good one.
Awesome little booster doesn't overdo it on directionalism, so this one gives a boost without the coverage gaps of the bigger antennas.
Helps most, but not all, PCI wireless cards.

Comments: Why don't router OEM's provide these in the first place. I put this one on a D-xxxk router and a different antenna on a desktop's wireless card ... boosted my signal from no signal/poor to good/very good.

Pros: Didn't seem to make signal any worse, thank heavens. Newegg got it here fast, price wasn't bad.
Cons: 5db gain? Compared to what, a dummy load?? Save your money on this piece of ""creative"" advertising. Signal not one bit better than pitiful factory ""antenna"".

Pros: It`s bigger... looks more impressive.
Cons: Doesn`t work! In fact, I had to do more moving around of the receiving antenna at the computer than with the stock antenna to achieve the same reception. Absolutely no improvement!
Other Thoughts: If you`re not getting what you expected in reception buy a better swit...

Pros: It's bigger than standard 2dbi antenna that came with my Netgear DG834G ADSL Router WiFi device. 5dbi gave me greater coverage.
Cons: Found 8dbi antennas for sale on newegg.com after I bought this--should have gone with extra 3dbi antenna for extra $5. Not XTerasys' fault by any means. THIS antenna is top notch--nothing negative to say...

Pros: Running a D-link WDA-2320 PCI in the basement with router on 3rd floor. I was getting a ""LOW"" signal. Installed this antenna and now I get a ""VERY GOOD"" signal. Superb deal. I couldn't be happier.
Cons: It's pretty long. 7-8""

Pros: Excellent boost in signal. Works fine. Thick antenna to help pick up the frequency.
Cons: should have got this first.
Other Thoughts: Initially i purchased the XTERASYS AN-EXT antenna (the antenna with a long cord) which got 0 db gain therefore got no good signal. This product definitely boosted the signal quality ...
