This product definitely works (if you use it correctly).
For those that want something to improve the range of their Wireless Access Point (WAP) / wireless router then what you need is an *omni* directional antenna.
This is not what you're looking for. This is a directional antenna, in very simple terms, you'd add to something like a wireless network card, or some other wireless device and point it very specifically in the *direction* of your wireless access point / wireless router.
In my case I have a wireless router, and a numb...

Did not work well with DI-524 Router
I bought this to hook to my Dlink DI-524 router in order to reach a wireless device at the other end of the house. It did not help at all. I am returing it. I talked to a Dlink tech person and he said that the DI-524 did not have enough power to effectively drive this antenna and he was not surprized that it did not work in my application.

It Works!!!
This little guy really works! I've got a media player (DSM-320RD - see my review of it) that I connected it to, and it drastically improved my wireless connection. I went from about 40% to 70% connectivity as soon as I plugged it in, and I can actually see the difference in speed when files are been transmitted. Great work, D-Link!

D-Link DWL-M60AT works well
This antenna gave me a 30% signal boost when switching from the dinky little plastic antenna on my dlink g520 card. My computer is in the basement and the router the antenna is aimed at is on the 2nd floor of my house. Definitely works if your desktop is behind many obstacles or far away from your router.

Very nice
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: Pretty nice. Link quality improves a little but the main thing I saw was the increase of link speed. On a Netgear AP my speeds went from 2.0-5.5Mbps to an uber steady 11.0-18.0 Mbps with about a a bar or two of link quality increase. I also picked up like 7 more wireless AP's in my neighborhood as opposed to the original 1 I was picking up.

Disappointing performance
Returning this antenana because the performance was actually worse than the tiny standard Apple G5 antenna with its theoretically less advantaged placement under a desk. Mac Stumbler rates the signal strength around 45-51 with the standard T shaped antenna. Even raising the DWL-M60AT to head height the signal strength never rose over 43%. Maybe the omini-directional standard antenna is better at dealing with the obstructions and DWL-M60AT would perform given clear line of sight. Perhaps the ...

Weak Network Reception
I have two M60AT antennas. My whole network zips. I use one on my signal repeater and one on my main computer. My signal went from 47 to 93.

It did help
Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: My signal went from 'very low'/'low' up to 'good'/'very good'.
Cons: I do wish the top swiveled on the base.
Other Thoughts: none

Not a silver bullet
I've several wireless antenna's to hook to a distant access point. For my purposes, this one did little. Even when I pointed it directly in the direction of the router. I finally bought a more expensive antenna that gave me an extra 15% of signal strength. Yet I see others who have had great luck with this product. I think there are quite a few variables to increasing signal strength, you almost have to try a few different products and see what works best for your case.

An improvement but not by much for the price
I connected this to a linksys Wireless G with speedbooster pci card and went from 4 bars of reception to 5 bars and sometimes it will go up and down from 3 to 4 but for the most part it stays at 5 bars. Not sure if its really worth spending over $30 with the shipping for it though.
