Works well, configuration could be clearer
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Sometimes you can use a wireless adapter to get your device on your network. Sometimes your TV or Blu-ray player leaves you with no option other than a wired connection. This device allows you to put a switch or hub anywhere in a typical home or plug any network cable directly into it for a network connection.
Alternatively, two of these can tie remote areas of a network togeth...

200+ Mbps as an Access Point
Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Instant access as an access point, very cheap $$$
Cons: still not maxing out Mbps, though could be my lack of experience, Mbps still sometimes goes down as far as 27 Mbps while just idling - don't understand this. My 802.11g is solid at 54.
Other Thoughts: Upgraded firmware to 02-12-2009, set to MAC F...

Good AP for the dollar
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Cheap. External antenna capable with highly available RP-SMA connectors. I have bought 8 of these and have not had a single problem with one yet. These are rock solid stable.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Very tricky to configure if your illiterate and can't follow instructions. Particularly to the ones on the CD...

Great AP/Bridge -
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Adds Bridge capability over TEW-637AP. Major improvements over TEW-637AP. Easy to set up. Works great as bridge or AP. Bought a second one to replace the old TEW-637AP connected to the Firewall.
Cons: Default web admin address is nowhere to be found in the documentation. Same issue with the TEW-637AP.
Other Thoughts: B...

Pretty Good
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Price, size, good security options, supports most wireless clients and AP's (b, g, n,... no support for "a" but no one uses that anyway), the simple interface will benefit the inexperienced installer. Covers all major deployment options... AP with WDS, wireless bridge/wireless client. Seems like a great AP for a home or small business network...

using as a bridge
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Size is great, nice and small. The price is great for the features you get. If you have a router that has wps then the connection is a snap (My router doesn't have it). I've got it connected to my xbox 360 so the price is nice compared to the more expensive microsoft product and this one gives you some flexibility of placement.

great
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: I initially tried to set this up manually through the web interface, but couldnt get it to connect to my wireless network. Used the provided CD and everything worked flawlessly (it doesnt actually install on your computer either, which is nice). Data speeds were decent, ~4 MB/sec download and ~7 MB/sec upload to a PC which was wi...

Excellent Value
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Very affordable and easy to setup. Great performance for the price you pay. The comments about the device only having a 100mbps ethernet connection is true but is not relevant since real world 300mbps wireless N speed can rarely maintain a constant speed faster then 100mbps. I get a solid 8 meg/sec transfer speed of a 1 gig file compared to 2.5 meg/...

Point to Point Bridge - forget about it
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Cheap. High specs for the price. Is probably good for anything other than a point to point bridge. Paperweight?
Cons: Wireless point to point bridge in N mode is near impossible to correctly configure (have all security disabled for N). Kept forgetting settings. Uploaded the latest firmware and then it started working correctly with...

I'm happy
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Small, light and fairly easy to configure as long as you follow the instructions, which aren't perfect but get the job done.
Works great in bridge mode.
Cons: Not wall mountable. It's an AP and should be wall mountable. I used some velcro to mount mine so it wan't a big deal and didn't require a hole in the wall this wa...
