Works as I wanted it to, after difficult setup
I have a couple of computers in one room, connected via LAN to a Linksys Wireless G router/access point, which is connected to a DSL modem. I wanted to put another computer an an Ethernet-attached printer on the floor above. The standard way to do this would be to run a Cat-5 cable from the Linksys router to a small hub on the upper floor, and connect the new computer and printer to it. It would be a long and complicated run, though, and would involve drilling through the floor. Not impossib...

Good value, instructions and software interface lacking a bit
If you need this device to work as a wireless access point, then it will serve you quite well. The headaches begin when you try to go beyond this default setup, as the instructions lack in clarity. The paper instructions that come in the box give NO instructions beyond the basic setup, which I found mildly annoying. To get more detailed instructions you must either download the full pdf from the TrendNet website or get it from the included cd (which has little else - no drivers, no real softw...

Works Great So Far!!!
Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Simple to set up. Small and sleek looking. Simple web browser interface.
Cons: Directions for bridging are a bit convoluted. Web interface is a little skimpy--that's the price of simplicity for you!
Other Thoughts: I bought this AP because I needed to bridge an Ethernet network upstairs (PC and Xbox 360...

Works
It feels a little flimsy but it works, can't complain with that. The software is easy to use. I like the ability to use this as a client device that allows you to transparently bridge any wired ethernet enabled device to your wireless network via an existing Access Point or Router.

X-Box 360
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Multiple functions for connecting devices, bridging devices, and expanding your range. This has a full web GUI and a notable help menu.
Cons: Looses connection every once in a while.
Other Thoughts: I used this to connect my X-Box wirelessly to my router, as apposed to the 100$ investment that Microsoft wants you to...

Allows you to wirelessly network for DirecTV on demand
I never knew that this was a possibility for extending my wireless network until I read about it on a DirecTV chat room. Basically, I have DirecTV with HD DVR and wanted to use the newly enabled on-demand functionality that allows me to download television shows and movies so I can play them when and as often as I want. Unfortunately, my wireless router is too far away from my DirecTV receiver (cable box) to allow me to plug the two together. This product allows me to 'create' a new wired con...

Well priced; just works
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) A single wireless router couldn't cover my house. Instead, I use two access points and a (wired) router. Most access points are overly expensive. The TRENDnet WAP not only works flawlessly, it is quite reasonably priced. Highly recommended -- it's really easy to just set it and forget it.

Excellent for wireless when devices require ethernet connections
Very simple setup and flexibility in settings. I'm using it as a wireless adapter for a DVR that doesn't allow a USB wireless card now and it's been flawless since setup.

Nice Little AP
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: I have bought 2 of these so far. Both work great. One is being used to allow a laptop to connect wirelessly to our wired network, and the other is being used as an AP client at home for a cheap wireless solution for my 360 (I wasn't going to pay $100 to MSoft for the official one). Very inexpensive and so far reliable. No regrets buying this! ...

4.5 stars: works great, instructions could use some work
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This unit works well but the instructions left a little bit to be desired. I've used it as a WAP (router in office upstairs has poor coverage in one of the downstairs rooms) and then as a client to hook up my wired-only DVR box to the internet (no CAT-5 there... silly me although great to see wiring the house with CAT-5 is no longer needed).
This is one of the lowest cost un...
