Great Product
This is a newer version of the router if you didnt know. OK as advertised they have a 3 click install- its really that easy! I am using a d link wireless CF card with my IBM notebook. No joke - i plugged it in - connected the cable into the router , boom connected! I have another computer that is networked and that was no problem as well. Easy to network btw the computers with windows XP.

Cable Modem Issues
This review is not to bash or praise the SMC7004VWBR in any way. This is ment as an FYI to potential buyers. The SMC7004VWBR has combatibility issues with the Motorola CyberSUFER Wave Modem. Junk, don't waste your money!

Well this thing went into the trash can after it couldn't even function as a simple 4 port switch (no WAN connection). The ports were dropping in and out after about an hour of use, it does seem to run really hot, even in the basement of my house which is on average about 70 degrees.
All in all, I got a few days use for my $70+ investment, it had been sitting in a box since writing this review and I pulled it out for a LAN party I was hosting ...

Good feature set but very unreliable
This router has a very nice feature set but very unreliable. First the wireless AP stops working if no wireless connection for an extended period. Also 128 bit encryption is not reliable. Have to reboot the router to get it work again. Second the whole traffic stops for no obvious reason randomly.
