Our resort needed a stronger product for our wireless. The DWL3200AP was recommended. We updated our wireless to the DWL3200AP and the response was well worth the purchase.

Great product
Installed to replace some older Linksys wireless equipment. Works very well as an access point in a medium to large network. Allows DHCP pass-through without any problem. We're easily getting 100ft range at 80 - 100% through 4 - 5 walls in all directions. Coverage still available about 20% at 200 ft. This access point has very solid, reliable range, and supports a wide range of access protocols and security. POE is great if you currently have a POE enabled network, but this router is well worth ...

Solid Access Point, WPA-Enterprise Setup is Clean.
Unit is solid and sturdy and has a bit of a utilitarian look to it. The software that comes with it lets you manage multiples of these devices at a time at a layer 2 level, meaning even if you don't know what it's IP address it, it'll find it and you can set it.
I had never setup WPA enterprise before, so it took a little bit of googling and trial and error, but I did get this going.
Device seems "faster" than the Linksys WAP54G we have been using.
I will be gett...

Great Access Point
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Pros: Very good configuration API with all the bells and whistles needed to set up a secure network. MAC address filtering, WPA-PSK, WPA Enterprise, you name it. The rugged case with the wall mount makes it easy to place in a good spot away from conduits and other interferences. Power over Ethernet makes cabling very simple. All in all a very nice box with good performance. I am using the same wireless router as befor...

Great Access Point
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: This is a great access point. It's advertised by D-Link as a commercial grade component and it does the job well at my workplace. Very rugged, metal case. It has great security features and the utility screens are easy to configure and understand. The PoE (power over ethernet) is a great function as well. That way, I can place the power source elsewhere adding to its versatility. The Super G co...

Tech Level: somewhat low Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Worked as soon as I plugged it in. After a couple of resets (my fault) we have had it running without any problems for about a month.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have the manual in printed form instead of PDF, but I guess it reduces waste??

Outstanding product, and the price...wow!!
I have had this access point for a year now. I have only had to restart it once and I think it was because of instability in the LAN in general. It works 100% of the time. I configured it via its web-based interface and never had to touch it again. In the reliability department it is just 110% excellent.
Feature-wise is also 5 stars. I won't mention everything because you can see detailed information in the DLink website, but you can secure it using various protocols, you can exc...

Found the Issue
Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: The HTML interface is easy to navigate (no need for the manager software here), nice mounting package, PoE is great, power appears great. Many apparently great settings/features for larger secure networks.
Cons: Two units were returned that didn't appear to broadcast per tech support's advise. (New Egg was great!...

Looks great but the DHCP feature is a mystery
Unlike the people here I have found this difficult to setup for my business. My plan was to set this up with a static public IP and use it's DHCP feature to create a private (192.168.1.x) subnet for wireless, so laptops can join our network quickly and easily.
Unfortunately this AP doesn't appear to let you create a private subnet for some reason, I think it assumes you want to 'pass-through' public IPs to everyone...but how do you configure this if your network uses static IPs and y...
