WAP4410 running review
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I just installed 2 WAP4410's on a Linksys RVS4000 router and brought them up in a basic configuration just to get the system running. I will be tuning the configuration over the next few weeks and will report the results.
Right out of the box, the units worked as advertised with zero hassle. I updated the firmware, changed the admin password, assigned both static IP addresses a...

fairly dependable, fast, wireless AP
Having been fed up with the problems I've had with building my own and buying various AP's, I decided to spend a little bit more and try this one. It's been fairly dependable. I use the "fairly" qualifier, because I have had a an issue or two, but I can't be sure it wasn't a neighbor setting up a new AP on the same channel, or something like that. Otherwise it's been solid in nearly a year of service. I really appreciate that it supports IPv6 out of the box, even in the management interface....

Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Works very well. Can be configured to be an AP, Wireless WDS Repeater, AP Monitor, and Wireless Client/Repeater. Signal strength goes about 200 ft, maybe further. Currently, I am using one with AP as the base and one with Wireless WDS Repeater as an extension in a small business setting. Very satisfied.
Cons: Firmware is very hard to g...

No Problems...
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Pros: I set up two of these for a small business network and it's been rock solid for about a month now. Using mixed-speed WPA2-Enterprise. Fantastic coverage and signal strength.
Cons: A tad pricey.
Other Thoughts: I saw a lot of bad reviews for the WAP4400N, so I'm very glad I took a chance with the 4410. No problems at all.

Great Business-Class Wireless-N Access Point
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I recently purchased two of these Cisco WAP4410N WAPs. The goal was to help my brother-in-law cover his large home with good quality wireless. Based on my experience doing previous WAP installations, my guess was that is would take between three and six WAPs to full cover his large house (which has lots of brick and steel) with good quality coverage. I was impressed that by strategical...

Do Not Buy
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Claims to work. Reboots quickly.
Cons: This unit will randomly stop directing traffic. Clients will stay connected to the wireless, but will suddenly not be able to use the internet. Always is fixed with a reboot, only to happen randomly (and often) afterward
Other Thoughts: Do not buy this router. There are...

Two purchased - one is reliable
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Excellent range.
Cons: I have two of these in place. One has had zero problems for over a month. The other had to be unplugged and plugged back in every other day. Flashed the firmware to version 2, same exact symptoms.
Other Thoughts: It's a real shame because the Version 2 firmware has an awesome looking web i...

May Function Well as an Access Point..
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: less than 1 day Pros: Decent design, relatively easy setup although if you have a subnet set up other than xxx.xxx.1.xxx it does take a little work. Great range and signal.
Cons: I purchased this on several reviews that it was perfect small business based on security, range, bandwith, and signal strength. Unfortunately, I missed all the reviews (check out linksys forums to verify) that pointed o...

Working Well
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Working well for the last month. Easy set-up, although for the average user it might be a little daunting. Many more options than the Linksys WAP54 I had been using for the last three years. Range is good in my two story house (concrete and stucco construction with metal studs. I no longer need a wireless router and an access point to run at the same time to...

Junk
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) It is in need of constant reboot. You would think that Cisco would not put their name on a piece of cr*p like this, but apparently that is not the case. If you Google this product, you will find that this is a common occurrence.
