Great product if you do not have USB capablities
I actually bought this product for the price tag($19.63 minus $10 rebate with free shipping) equals less than 10 bucks for USB connection.
I know I am behind the times but I am trying to get as much out of my computer(I built over 5 years ago) as I can get. I have had other friends trying USB adapter cards with alot of frustration and failure.
What I find really funny is that this USB adapter card supports the new HIGH SPEED 2.0 STANDARD. I just wanted USB capabilities to communicate with my...

If you don't have USB, this card is for you
If you have an older computer that does not have USB ports you probably are missing out on dozens of useful upgrades like digital cameras, scanner, gamepads, and printers to your system. But not anymore if you get this card. Installation is not terribly difficult. Just open up your case, find an open PCI slot, pop this in and you are in business. Since I have a Macintosh I really cannot talk about the installation of drivers for Windows users, but it took just 5 minutes to get up and running...

Great USB Adapter Card
I purchased this card about 2 months ago and it works great with my digital camera and it also works great with my newly purchased Compact Flash Reader(Simple Tech). The USB card installed without a hitch. I am a little weary of expansion cards because I had some friends having alot of headaches because all motherboards act differently when a card is attached.
It is really funny because I purchased this card because of the free shipping from buy.com and the $10 rebate from IOGear. Guess what?...

Bug in chipset, IOGEAR is investigating
After installing the card it would instanteously reboot my Windows XP machine with no warning or proper shutdown. Escalated to IOGear and Tech. Support responded that they have a major bug on the last chipset on the card that they have not fixed. Recommended I return it for a refund.

Work great. Price cannot be beat
I ordered this to get USB ports on an ancient computer (P166 with 64MB RAM). Got USB. Works with camera and is 2.0 too! For only $6 ( including free shipping, $10 rebate and postage for rebate) How can you beat that?

Worked for me but...............
Windows XP Home Edition.
I bought this card to run my new USB 2 Canon Scanner. Installation a breeze, however, in order to run the scanner at USB 2 speeds, I had to disable my on-board USB 1 ports in the
bios of my motherboard. In my case, I wasn't using them anyway.
Your mileage may vary..........

Darn Fine Card
Cheap ($20 pre $10 rebate), incredibly fast, good value. The only hiccup was during software installation, due to the unit being shipped without the correct drivers. I had to uninstall the unit from my OS, download the drivers, then reinstall (OS is Win 98SE). Laughably short documentation. Recommend purchase.
