Installation prompt when connected for the first 3 times.
Other Thoughts:
I use it nearly daily for videos and music and works flawlessly. Even used it to back up my PS3 to switch the HDD to a 320GB on it.

I have RMA'ed two so far this year. The first was an essential they sent me back an elite and within 3 month this had to be sent back as well.
