Useful Light-Duty UPS with Some Obvious Design Oversights
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) My home and home office contain many sensitive electronic devices. We have several personal computers, a PC server, NAS drives, routers, switches, printers, cordless phones, security system, etc. All of these things (and more) plug into the AC mains and are therefore vulnerable to voltage sags or spikes and the occasional power outage. When a person invests a lot of money in electronic...

Excellent in (almost) every way
I just returned a Belkin F6C550-AVR and got this CP850AVRLCD instead. It's *much* better than the Belkin in every way but one: The Belkin can tell the computer to Hibernate in case of outage, while the CyberPower can only tell it to Shutdown. Guess what, if you're not at your desk or are asleep when a 10-15 minute outage happens, you still lose any unsaved changes. Might as well have a garden variety surge protector. If you leave your machine running, and you live where sustained outages ar...

Great Product
Great price and free shipping from Buy.com. The packing of the box could have been better but was delivered fine just the same...fully charged and ready.
I replaced a low end Belkin and wanted the Cyberpower with AVR and phone and cable connections. I will say with the power panel software you really don't need the LCD panel. Remember buyers, we all probably are buying too much UPS for our needs. Look at features like phone and cable connections more than how many watts the thing will handle...

Excellent (almost)
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Pros: 1) Nice form factor 2) When charged and nothing is plugged into it, it only draws 7 watts, as measured by my Kill-A-Watt. 3) PowerPanel Personal Software is intuitive and easy to use. Gives you all the useful status info you need. 4) LCD panel is very nice. Also gives you the status info you need. 5) AVR - seems to be a true line-interactive regulated supply.

Great!
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Pros: Wow, this UPS is nice. I was a little sceptical buying from cyberpower as I've never owned one of their products before, but I'm glad I went ahead with this UPS. It has 9 outlets. Thats n-i-n-e outlets, 5 of which are on battery backup. Thats incredible. A majority of the other battery b/u I was looking at at this price had about 4-5. It's not very big at all either, fits very easily...

Another Happy Linux User
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Enough power and connections to keep your average desktop up or safely power down when the lights go out.
Works smoothly with Network UPS Tools (NUT) under Linux.
Informative LCD output.
Compact size for easy placement.
Replacement batteries inexpensive and easy to find.
Worth every penny.
I love it.
Cons: The proprietary software...

Nice UPS for the money.
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The unit performs as advertised. Nice browser for monitoring status via their software. Only negative is front LCD display; it does not stay on. The LCD requires a button press to activate and it only stays on for a minute.

Does what it says it does
This UPS was actually nicer than the picture gives credit for. The On/Off button illuminates a blue light similar to most PC buttons, so this matched my PC very nicely. The LED display does not stay on, but I don't mind as I'm not too concerned with the info anyway. As long as it does the job. Which it has done so far. No complaints. Worth the price tag? well I hope so. As long as it keeps my PC from frying it is worth it. Comes with a control program you load onto the PC and you can adjust diff...

Seems to work well
Well, I haven't had the opportunity to "use" it yet but it seems to be great for hooking my pc, scanner, printer, etc. My only complaint is that the outlets are a little too close together to plug in the mini transformer plugs.

love it
I purchased two of these units when they were on sale for about **** each with free shipping and I am very happy with them for several reasons. I purchased these for my computer system and entertainment system as opposed to spending the same money on a higher quality surge protector.
The UPS is pretty compact. It will fit nicely in a cabinet, under a desk, or in an entertainment center without taking up a ton of room. The UPS is also ascetically pleasing and professional looking. The power butt...
