Unbelievable picture quality!!!
I bought the Mitsubishi 73" in June 2006, had it for a year with AWESOME results. Sold my house and the guy who bought it loved the TV so much that he wanted to buy it with the house. Bought a new house and bought the latest 73" mitsu available (73734), and I've had it now for about 3 months....better than ever. I've had about 5 friends buy the same TV after seeing how awesome this set is. You feel like you're at the game with this awesome tv. I never take the time to write reviews....but t...

The picture's so bright I have to wear shades
I checked out the online reviews, customer reviews, looked at the local Best Buy and Circuit City showrooms, and was really impressed with the Mitz 73" behemouth. The local showrooms had it down to under $3 grand, but I still couldn't pull the trigger. On my way home, I stopped my a local movie rental store run by a friend that also worked on televisions and used to sell them. To my surprise, he was back in the business and had chosen Mitz and a couple other brands to sell. He beat the deals...

Bad Mitsubishi
Although Mitsubish may be ranked highly, they fail miserably in the customer service dept. Light engine went out on TV. It has been four months and still not repaired yet. Over the last three weeks I have called Mitsubishi Consumer Relations 3-4 times a day to try to get an answer. Sometimes they will transfer your call to 'Level 2' Consumer Relations, at times they refuse. Their response is always 'part will be shipped in 7-10 business days'. Four months later it is still the same excuse.

Great picture, but...
power center failed after one day. I understand this is not an uncommon problem. To Amazon's credit, they offered a full refund and paid for return shipping. I ordered a replacement from another source, as Amazon could not ship another for 4-6 weeks. The replacement WD-73734 just arrived. Again, great picture with no distracting electronic hum as mentioned in other posts. I found the manual hard to follow when attempting to integrate an AVR receiver, and one HDMI "auto-sense" port did not ...

Great TV
So far so good. I purchased this set 2 weeks ago for $2,900. I have it plugged into a TimeWarner HD Cablebox and a Sony BlueRay HD-DVD player. The set quality with HD is excellent. Very little if any artifacting. Football on CBS HD is incrdible. Hardly notice any bluring during the action. All digital channels are in 720 are very good relative to my Hitachi 52" rear.
It fits perfectly into a cubby built into our family room so I didn't need a flat screen and at 73" it gives a ...

Excellent
Item was shipped sooner than was promised. Delivery men were very helpful and cooperative. Television works very well, no problems and we are very satisfied. We also ordered the stand ...the earthquake strap did not come in the package, but we contacted customer relations and it is being shipped to us separately. We expect to get it with the same service.

Must be Back-Engineered Alien Tecnology!
I own a Panasonic 26in HDTV,(LCD) A 50in Vizio HDTV (Plasma), a 55in Hatachi Ultravision TV (Rear Projection), Epson Projector (not the 1080p} and a 73in Mitsubishi (Box Model Rear Projection}...Except for the Old Ultravision, these TV have exceptional images...so I thought... until I got This DLP! Where are they getting this Technology? With this Mit you have to hook it up to HD sources to understand how truly unique it really is...It's a 1080p TV but it will upscale 480i,p to the point where ...

Awsome Picture ... But...
First off, the picture is AWESOME.. The set looks sharp and the Netcommand once setup make life so easy for my wife. There are a few issues. Only 2 Color Temp Settings, Switching from one video input to another takes 10+ seconds as the set tries to figure out the Resolution. Sound out of the TV is only fair at best but most people will have a home theater so not a big issue. WAF (Wife Approval Factor) is off the charts. Several reviewers talked about excessive FAN noise, Not an issue with the...

Love it! Incredible picture and color!
I have had this TV for about a month now, and I am still in awe! It's like having your own movie theater at home. The pictures on regular stations do sometimes seem a little pixil-ated, but the HD stations and Bluray movies are just incredible. I read some negative reviews about the fans being noisy, but I have never heard them. I also read about problems with the bulb going and having to wait 3-4 months for replacement, so I hope that doesnt become an issue. Overall, though, I think it was...

Awesome TV !!!
I purchased the Mitsubishi WD-73734 about a month ago & I love it! I had owned a Mitsubishi 55" HD Television for several years -It still works great-in fact I have never had any repair service done to it.However, because it is an early CRT type model - it didn't have the HDMI connections which are a must if you want to watch Full 1080p High Definition.Out of the box-the WD-73734 needs some adjustments (as any TV would) to the menu settings - especially the Contrast & Brightness need to be tuned ...
