Can you spell J-U-N-K?
I bought a Westinghouse L2610NW 16" LCD 1080p monitor. It worked beautifully for about 20 minutes. Then it fried - screen flickered a few times and went black, then blinked multicolored vertical lines.
I returned it and got another one of the same model. It worked just fine until I adjusted the brightness down from the factory default 100 to about 75, when it started making buzzing/ringing moises inside the monitor. I called Westinghouse customer support, and they had me try a fe...

DOA
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: It looks pretty when its off. Good thing New Egg lets you return this for a replacement.
Cons: The Unit arrived in a non-functional state. It appeared to have been returned once. The serial number was 524DB74500508. Using a Mac Powerbook 1.25Ghz, and the DVI to HDMI connector there was no signal. With the VGA cable, it would briefly f...

You get what you pay for...
This is a mediocre monitor but if you want big size for a cheap price then it may be for you.
****EDIT: DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR!! I want to change my rating to 1 star after speaking with customer "service." Customer service at Westinghouse was no help. I argued with them on two separate occasions and got 2 separate stories. First time they said they were aware of the problem and have "sent it to corporate for resolution" - HOGWASH. The second time they tried to tell me it was a prob...

So far so good
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Pros: HDMI-DVI Picture quality, monitor Size and Pirce
Cons: HDMI-DVI plugin not user friendly
Other Thoughts: I brought this monitor and faced the same problem... no picture when I use DVI cable. Since I had wasted 2 hrs, I thougt I should write this review so that other users will not waste their time.
I pluged the DVI cable and tried to use the monitor m...

Nice picture, not easy to set up
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Pros: Amazing huge screen, vibrant color, attractive unit. I am successfully running 1900x1200 with the provided DVI - HDMI cable.
Cons: Not easy to set up. I *thought* the HDMI input wasn't working, but its actually just really hard to get it set for digital input -- there is no auto-sensing of input. Reduced brightness does cause noise to come out of the integrated speakers. Mut...

Amazing Technology
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: This monitor is one of the best monitors I've ever seen. If you put on a white screen all areas of the screen are equal. Color is brilliant and true. I would purchase it again. I have a SLI system with two 8600 GTS cards. It is a perfect match for this monitor. Also Westinghouse assured me that this is an HDCP monitor so I will be able to play BluRay dis...

Great Monitor
I've had mine for about 3 months now and was shopping for another one when I saw that negative review. My experience was positive one; I think its a great monitor.
There is only one negative thing about it I noticed: There are three pre-programmed display modes: Economy, Text, & Picture. The monitor makes a light buzzing sound when not using Picture mode, which is too bright for my taste. That's the only reason I didn't give it five stars.
It has DVI, VGA, and audio...

Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Very nice picture once you get it to work. The screen is large and allows me to see the lettering better than my 22" Samsung.
Cons: I tried to use the dvi to hdmi cord that comes with the monitor and was greeted by an error (out of range) it would show HDMI on the screen and kick in after messing with it for awhile, and then go out again. I called Westinghouse and was to...

Not bad for the price
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: less than 1 day This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Massive if you are upgrading from 20". Cheap. Nice button on the side to quickly allow you to switch between "Picture", "Text" and "Economy" brightness modes which I found helpful when being bathed in radiation.
Cons: Very apparent ghosting in many situations when using the supplied DVI-to-HDMI cable, barely...

Nice, but beware QC / customer support
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Pros: Nice bright monitor, clearly outperforms cheap monitors from other brands.
Cons: Yes it is really nice... if you're lucky to locate a unit that works. Original unit that I purchased last September was replace by Newegg, but return shipping was on me - $40 loss. The replacement unit at least worked except for occasional "black out" problems - A few times a day it will go bl...
