Works Great, My Daughter loves it!
I got this TV/DVD combo for my 7 year old daughter to put in her bedroom. I chose this set because of the built-in DVD player and the price was right. My daughter has used it everyday for the past 2 months without any problems. The picture is clear, the colors are sharp and the sound is great. It also has a large screen that she loves...great TV/DVD combo at a great price!

DVD doesn't work
The sound is excellent. The picture does have the purple splotch that others have spoken of but it's not so bad that it distracts from what you're watching. You begin to ignore it. However, I did want a built-in DVD for convenience and it doesn't work. Couldn't get it to open so as to load a DVD. So, buyer beware.

Erratic DVD performance; bad clicker
It did not set up when the tv first arrived and it took several calls to customer service to get it to turn on. Something in the programming, they said. After turning it off and on numerous times, it finally recognized the off/on switch. Great start. The DVD programming is also erratic; for example, it will not play in reverse for more than 5 sec,. due apparently to the fact that it can only reverse to a section mark of the DVD. All of the eccentric programming is aggravated by the clicker, ...

tv plus dvd
I have had my Coby for about 5 months and it is a wonderful playing appliance. The picture is precise with bright color, the dvd's play well and the sound is clear! The only complaint is that the directions for the setup for the tv has directions that are not easy to understand.
