Best version of NIS so far!
I have been using NIS since 2006 for both my desktop and laptop for virus protection. While none of them have given significant problems to me, this is by far the best NIS yet!
Installation: Installation was a real snap. It was amazingly quick. For those who don't like to read much and just want to know if this product is worth the money, well this is the best security suit ever created. One thing, I do recommend to create an online Symantec account. Once you log in, you will find some good discounts on other Symantec products.

Better than previous versions
The new Norton Internet Security 2009 is a substantial improvement over previous versions. Symantec's end goal for 2009 was "Zero Impact". From what I can see, they have pretty much done just that. 2009 monitors your level of activity and initiates updates and system scans around periods of no or low activity. A Big improvement over previous versions.
I had quit using Norton for the last few of years. I needed a new Internet Security Suite and Norton 2009 was rated at or near the top of all the ratings I checked. Norton did especially well with independent lab tests. (There are so many companies trying to look independent, so it takes some effort to find truly independent tests.)
Norton found a "Trojan" my old Suite did Not find (Kaspersky). It also Scans much faster.

The best Symantec Norton Internet Security till date!

Currently the best protection for your computer
I've used both the trial versions of NIS 2008 and NIS 2009, and NIS 2009 is definitely a huge improvement over past versions of Norton. Not only is it faster at scans, it doesn't bog down your computer, and the installation is under a minute. Order this if you want the best overall protection you can currently buy for your computer.
