Light, compact and works great.
Bottom line: Small, light weight and just works. Power brick is half the size of the unit itself and is also very light.
I was looking for a portable network switch to keep in my backpack for occasions when I had a network drop but no wireless. Searching around I found this one and saw that the switch itself is small and light, but I was worried about the power brick. Turns out the brick is small too, so I'm very happy with my purchase.
I've used the switch to network t...

Great product, easy to use
I found this product while looking for a way to split the LAN at my job into two. We get one ethernet cord running to our desk and that's it. I was worried that my company would have some kind of block to not allow this to happen (they don't allow streaming video, audio, etc... so they block a lot of things). I found the unit on sell (about half price) and decided it was worth the price to try it. I tried it at home at first and it worked great (I have a router at home, so don't really need ...

Not quite what I needed
I got one of these a while back for my home network, and it has worked great. Because of this, when I needed some switches for a network I was building at my church, I ordered 3 of these. Alas, I couldn't get them to work with their older 10BaseT network - for some unknown reason it would connect with the network but it wouldn't work with the church's DHCP server. I opened 2 of them and they both had the same result. I tried one of them at home and it worked fine, so I don't think they were ...

Perfect Size - Great Price - Great Function
This little 5 port switch is in my laptop computer bag at all times. There are plenty of situations I find myself in where there are several people who need Internet access but there is only one connection. Does anyone happen to have a switch? 9 times out of 10 the answer is "no."
This switch has a great feature that I wasn't expecting to find on such a small, low-cost unit. It auto-uplinks to any other switches on the network - no crossover cables necessary. That's one less spec...

Works Fine
Ordered it Friday (Tiger Direct $9.99 + $7.xx Shipping), got it Tuesday. I plugged an e-net cable from my DSL portal/modem(which has a USB jack and an e-net jack and it's hooked to my main computer upstairs via USB cable)into port 1, my basement computer(WindowsVista)into port 2, My son's X-Box 360 into port 3. Each of the three kids are now online at the same time even though the quick setup guide said it wasn't designed for multiple computers to share an internet connection and you should use ...

Just plug it in and go.
I wanted a simple switch, and this fits the bill. No setup, no software, no options: just plug in the power and up to 5 Ethernet cables. Done. It works flawlessly.

Easy Setup, Just Plain Works
My main desktop and router are on the opposite side of my HTPC, Xbox 360 and Blu-Ray player. I run one long cable from the router over to the other side of the room and used this baby to split the internet connection between the 3 devices. Works flawlessly. I am now able to have all three devices connected without having to manually switch myself. A must have for setups where multiple internet devices are in close proximity. Highly recommended!

I'm Impressed!!
Wanted to use this little item to split internet connection from a Netgear HDX101 powerline adapter located behind my media cabinet. Needed internet access to Blu-Ray player, DirectTV receiver, XBOX 360, and AVR receiver. Didn't know if it would work with a powereline adapter. As another reviewer has noted, the literature with the switch says it will only allow 1 internet connection. This is WRONG! I am now running 4 internet devices off the switch instead of a single device at the powerlin...

Best bang for your buck
I've owned and used many different types and brands of switches. I must say that this switch works best for the price. I run the switch 24/7 in a temperature controlled environment (68 degrees F), and have not seen any problems. The temperature on the box is cool to warm. It's never hot to the touch. However, the best thing of all is that it runs silently. Why pay more if you only need reliable connectivity?

Can't pass it up for the price
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I needed to "split" a single Ethernet connection between my DirecTV box (for DTV on demand) and my Samsung BluRay DVD player (for Netflix streaming)so I did not have to keep swapping the cable back and forth. This little Trendnet gem really fit the bill. It is small, lightweight and completely unobtrusive. The best part is there is no setup, completely plug and play. Look no further, ...
