It lit up when I plugged it in. Other than that, there really isn't much to this unit. You can heat your house with it. :)

Pros:
It does just what it is supposed to do. I have this connected to 4 Gbit servers uplinked to a Gbit port on a Dell PowerConnect switch that runs the rest of the office. Since installing this all complaints about slow access to the file servers has gone away. We now easily get multiple full 100Mbit connections to the fileservers with no bottlenecks.

Not sure what to say here, I need to get one that works out of the box. Newegg is Aces! I can't believe that I have to call them and ask for a second RMA....the 39.99 (with free shipping) makes it worth the effort...but come on a switch....my 5 year old workgroup switch still wirks great.
