Great remote, but the One is very good too, and the inability to upgrade is a major flaw

Activities Button Replaces Need for Macros
First, let me state that I do indeed own the Harmony 900 remote, and I am basing this review on first hand experience with the remote. I don't believe in reviewing items that I don't own and use.
The "Activities" button replaces the need for macros. You are allowed to create custom activities that you can name yourself. For example, I created a "Watch TV" activity and programmed it to do the following:

Avoid if you need sequences (macros)
Unlike nearly every model before it and nearly every universal remote made, the 900 and 1100 can't do sequences (a.k.a macros) at all. Logitech inexplicably removed sequence capabilities from it's latest models. Evaluate your needs very carefully before buying this model.

Harmony 900 vs. 890 RF review
This does not work better than the 890 model as far as communication, the RF frequency sucks. Customer service won't admit it, sometime i have to point it directly at the blaster and it still doesn't respond, we have to keep the blaster outside the closet.

I like it!!
I have had the remote for almost a week and I couldn't be happier with the performance. Performs all desired functions with the click of just one 'activity' button. My father-in-law loves the functionality and ease of use and my wife loves the fact that we no longer have 5 remotes sitting around.
