SIMPLY GREAT! WE LOVE IT!
This is a bit late getting on here, but been meaning to put a review up. We purchased this 3 years ago in 2006, 3 years later, TV is still going strong, still beautiful picture. We are VERY HAPPY with this set, every time I see the picture I'm still amazed, can't take eyes off it. Picture is very bright and clear, people still ask if it's projection, as it is bright even in daylight, and has a small footprint. I think if you want HD, then get the biggest set you can, lets you see more detail. To... [Read 's Complete Review for Toshiba 56" Integrated HD DLP TV (56HM66) at Amazon.com]

Don't buy Toshiba DLP TV
The lamp on TV went out in 11 months and the second one went out in 13 months just before this christmas. Each LAMP costs me $250-$300. That means you may have to spend such a cost every year (if you made a wrong decision as I did to buy a Toshiba TV)! I only watch TV less than 3 hours/day. The manual's 6000-8000 hours time for the LAMP is compeletly mis-leading. Think second time when you buy a Toshiba TV and check the internet first to see real reviews. Don't trust Toshiba's manuals. Solid TV for the Money
As someone who has owned this TV for almost 2 years now, it is great. A way better investment than an LCD or plasma (would have had to be much smaller to get it for the same price).
To address some of the alleged negatives, let's start with picture quality. It is great, noticed zero imperfections. BUT, given the size of the screen, you need to be sitting 15-20 feet back with a non-HD signal. If you are sitting 5 feet away, you don't have enough room for a screen this size, regardl... Lamp life is a little over a year
Same issue as everyone else. The lamp life is horrible. Do you think Toshiba did this to sell lamps at $250 a pop? Great way to make extra money. I'm sticking to Plasma and LCD from now on and more then likely wont go with a Toshiba. [Read 's Complete Review for Toshiba 56" Integrated HD DLP TV (56HM66) at Amazon.com]

Toshiba 56HM66 DLP
These tv's have a bad lamp life and cost about $250 to replace (yourself) Mine went out just after the warranty expired and replacement lamps have a warranty of only 6 month. Don't waste your money buying these tv's. [Read 's Complete Review for Toshiba 56" Integrated HD DLP TV (56HM66) at Amazon.com]
