The HP LaserJet 1022 is a reliable, and until recently a low cost work horse. I have two, because of their reliability and desire to use a common toner cartridge, I opted to purchase my third HP 1022 for my daughter who is headed for school this fall. Duplexing is a nightmare
I have had this printer for about 1.5 years now. I take online classes with digital books, so most of them I print out. I don't think I've gone once without this printer messing up the duplexing. On the second side it will just randomly lose a page and completely ruin the order of the rest. I've had to reprint about half of each chapter. HP LASERJET 1022 PRINTER
HP Printers, especially the 1020 series such as the 1022 are very reliable printers and are great quality. The instructions to install are easy and HP has great support.

The good:
- fast printing
- good resolution
- small footprint
- mac compatible
The bad:
- loud
- small manual feed capacity
Overall, i would definitely purchase this product again.

Five Star Laser Printer
I bought the HP LaserJet 1022 Printer to replace my aging HP 4M, and I have not been disappointed. It's especially quick at putting out the first sheet, and keeps spitting them out at a good pace. I highly recommend it for all Mac users who are looking for a printer for light duty and to save that expensive color ink jet when black ink will suffice!
