I had a Lexmark printer for years and it performed well for me. When it finally bit the dust, a techie friend suggested the HP Officejet and suggested purchasing through Amazon. The printer is fantastic. It can be set to print two-sided automatically which is wonderful. I test printed a page that had photographs and print on both sides. ink system failure a problem
This printer only worked a few days before it began having ink system failure issues. Trouble shooting thru HP's website and tech support would only bring temporary fixes. HP replaced the unit for a refurbished one, same model, and it had the same issues. I was never even able to set up the second one before the ink system failure message appeared and never able to print a single page. Nothing Earthshattering
Ownership Time: 2 weeks
Client Operating Systems: Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista Business
HP Client Software: Installed from CD provided with product without issue, did turn off Symantec Endpoint Corporate AntiVirus on Vista machine as recommended.
Functions Used: Copy, Print, Wireless
Pros: Clean printing; Detected WEP enabled wireless without issue; Duplex tray
Cons: Slow...takes forever to warm up compared to my old Lexmark AIO; 4 print cartridges

Very Disappointing
I bought this All-In-One because of the wonderful previous HP All-In-One I had. I have been extremely disappointed, and wish I had just kept the older version. I have had to redo the set up several times. Additionally, the wireless does not seem to work well; I finally gave up and just use the USB cable. Wireless my #$@
This printer simply does not work as advertised. I wish I had read the CNET and Amazon reviews before wasting my money on yet another malfunctioning HP Printer tied to bloated, ineffective software. My experience:
- I run Vista (alas), have an n-band router, and the router-printer-computer are within five feet of each other
- The printer is part of my network, and about 1 out of 10 times the printer and the computer speak to each other
- The other nine of ten times the printer has...
