Fast, sharp looking prints on a variety of papers
Have had this printer for about a week now. Upgraded from a Epson R2400. Reason for upgrading, couldn't keep the epson's printhead from clogging. Wasted more ink trying to keep the printheads clean then I actually used printing pictures. As far as print quality goes between the two is basically a toss up. Prints from the canon are more glossy then the epson probably due to the fact the canon uses dye inks while the epson uses pigment. The only thing I don't like about the canon is right ou...

I Just got this printer from Adorama today (via UPS) and this thing is incredible. Im a professional photographer and this printer prints lab qaulity prints super fast. I made sure I used Photoshop to print some test pictures )4x6 on Canon Photo Plus Semi Gloss and it matched exactly what was on my screen. 16 bit prining
This printer does a beautiful job with my 16 bit Photoshop images. With the right paper, the output looks like museum quality. The drivers work well in Mac OS10.5.7. So far no hiccups. Hope I like it this much in a year. My last "major printer" was an Epson Photo 2200. It was good at first, an then started clogging a lot. Someone told me that if you don't use an Epson printer on a regular basis, it will start streaking and can't be fixed. I hope that is not the case with the Canon. So far I love...

I would echo all the comments on this site regarding the quality, noise, speed and size of this piece of equipment. What motivated me to write this review is to bring into question the claim that the printer is Mac compliant. Only uses Vista but not told
I am actually reviewing Amazon's lack of complete information. The printer itself looks great. I was getting out my credit card...However, as I was about to buy this product, I thought I'd take a quick look at the Canon site. I was incensed to find that the printer ONLY works with VISTA!!! We need accurate info to make buying decisions. We aren't mind readers. That infomation should have been upfront.

I don't understand how people be giving favorable reviews for this printer. Buying this printer has been the absolute worst experiences I have had with a product. After successfully using three printers on my current Mac I still haven't been able to print one print that has been even remotely successful. Printing from my Mac only lets me make print head alignments I can't print from any of the applications. When this printer has been hooked up to a PC the prints come out terrible. They are cloud...
