Great Color Network-Ready Printer!
This is my 3rd color printer and my 2nd Canon. I really needed a network-ready printer since we have 3 PCs and always had to keep the one running that had the printer attached. My house is hardwired for network - no wireless here!brbrI chose the CanonPixma MX700 due to good reviews on CNET and past experience with my previous Canon printer good quality print.brbrI found the setup for the network connectivity to be a bit tricky. Theres a user manual for setting up the MX700 on the network. Of...

Great Printer
I bought this printer to replace an old HP all in one printer that broke. I needed a printer and fax quickly and ran across this printer. brbrThe set-up was a breeze and in little over 30 minutes I was printing and faxing.brbrEverything works as advertised and also works well. The print output in Black and Color is much better than my old HP. brbrI have read in other reviews about the printer slowing down when scanning or copying more than 30 pages. I have not found this to be the case. It does ...

Great Printer for the Money
I was researching this printer against a comparable HP printer. But when I looked at all the reviews the Canon was highly favorable in reviews and extremely reliable compared against the flimsy HP model I was looking at. The ink cost for this Canon is significantly low. I through out my old HP printer and now use this printer for everything and even have it connected to my router through the Canon MX700s enthernet port. I cant believe this printer is as cheap as it is with all of the functions b...

Great with a Mac and OS 10.5 Leopard
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) A real bargain. Basic copy and printing works great with my Apple PowerBooks and the newly released OS 10.5.
One of the major reasons I bought this model is it can be networked via Ethernet. The directions were very good - if you read through them - and don't try to jump ahead like I do. If you follow all the steps you'll be up and running in no time.
You'll need a A...

Great all purpose printer
I have been very pleased with my Canon Pixma printer. It prints quickly and the quality is very good. I have also been pleased with the capability of setting it up wirelessly on my network. We can now print easily from our two laptop computers.

can't manage fax from computer
Pro: - prints nicely, works as a copier - can fax documents from the printer - can scan documents into a LAN connected computer
Con: - can't send a document from the computer to the fax - can't see fax history or incoming faxes on the computer My old HP could do that..

No complaints with this mid-range "All-in-One"
I've had a number of printers over the years from a variety of manufacturers (Epson, Lexmark, and HP) with the exception of Canon, so I didn't truly known what to expect until I set it up. I should mention that before purchasing this model, I did my homework and checked out a lot of review sites to come up with a few recommendations. It should be noted that Canon, in general, and the MX700 specifically, continually stood out with terrific reviews.
The Canon MX700 is a more-than-ade...

Really wanted to like this printer
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I wanted to replace a 4 yr old HP PSC2510 that produces nice text documents but mediocre graphics and photos. From reading the description of the MX700, I thought it would be at least as good if not better in terms of text quality and faster. Instead, the text quality is poorer and it is generally less capable. There were a few deal breakers for me. First, there is no duplex printing op...

Very Impressed so far! Great Quality, Great Price, Easy set-up
Ive used a Lexmark Z65N network printer for the last 6 years. I hesitated to change because it printed my brochures biz cards and photos beautifully from W2000 and Mac 10.3.9. The ink refills were outrageously expensive but I kept buying them because the print quality was perfect. Well the Lexmark finally bit the dust. I researched printer and ink costs user reviews and prices and decided on the MX700. There was a $40 rebate so I got it for $89.99. I must say Im very impressed so far. I cant bel...

Great printer, WRONG INK, Amazon!
If you purchase this printer, do not purchase the Canon CLI-8 4-Color Multipack Ink Tanks recommended by amazon. The black ink does not work. You need PGI-5 for black, not CLI-8.
