Good printer, especially for the price
I bought this printer as an upgrade to my dinosaur HP Inkjet (it had to have been over 10 years old), and must say I'm very pleased so far. However, before I go any further, you should know that the printer does NOT ship with a USB cable to connect it to your computer. This is kind of disappointing, considering you'll have to spend another $20 just to hook it up to your computer. Aside from that, I am satisfied!
The first thing one is likely to notice is the design, which is sleek,...

You Get So Much for the Price!
So far this is the least expensive printer I have bought, but it has performed the best. I had only used HP or Lexmark, but found after a few performances, these printers would break down. I still cannot believe that for under $80, you can get a printer like the Canon iP3000. It prints photo-quality photos, is compact, and prints duplex (2-sided) so you can save on paper. The footprint is smaller than most printers because of its ingenious design - everything folds into itself. The best par...

No More HP Anymore
I bought this printer a couple of months ago to replace my old HP OfficeJet that was slow and expensive on ink. At the time I had already known that Canon makes nice inkjets with excellent print quality and low cost ink. But the ip3000 exceeded my (already high) expectations.
Pros: Excellent Quality Small footprint Prints full (borderless) pages Duplex printing Low cost printer Low cost ink Quite, fast and slick
Cons: Comes with no...

Excellent printer with fantastic features
I have used Lexmark, Canon, and Epson inkjets at home over the years. The iP3000 is my latest printer, and without doubt, the best. BTW, keep away from Epson - extortion and waste of resources.
You will probably discover the glowing reviews that others have written. In addition to everything positive written here, I have the following: 1. Really good, comprehensive driver software. - You can set it up to auto turn on and off. 2. Among all the other features, a most unique o...

Great Printer-Lots of Features
I purchased the Canon PIXMA iP3000 for mostly non photo printing. I get my photos printed at one of the warehouse stores on regular photo paper for .19 cents each. The Canon ink is inexpensive, the printer prints both sides of the paper without removing the sheet, has great software and prints internet screens without cliping the right side of the page. The printed page is excellent. The print head can be replaced by the user. I got tired of expensive ink and clogged print heads requiring ...

Goodbye Epson Hello Canon
My Epson C44 died after 14 months light use.Got the Canon ip3000.Looks great, sounds great, prints clear and fast. The difference is amazing and it's well built and cheap.Sensibly they have avoided the all in one colour cartridges and those wretched chips .Get one now and enjoy decent prints<sorry Epson>

sanlis
Bought this printer last month and I just love it! I use it for printing photos and my daughter uses it for book reports and printing documents which it does very quickly and quietly. Printed lots of photos on the 4x6 glossy canon paper and they came out extremely well. Cannot tell the difference from previous ones developed at store. Also used Kodak's soft gloss paper and that worked well too. I have printed around 100 pictures in 4x6 as well as 8x11 and the ink is still going strong.

Much better than Epson
Had a Epson C80 printer for 3 years. In my opinion the Epson is a crumby product with crumby design. I got the Canon when the Epson refused to print at all. I should have chucked the Epson much earlier as the Canon is SOOOO much better (won't try to print when output tray closed, has 150 sheet enclosed paper compartment as well as top loader, prints both sides, ...)

Very Impressed
I just received this printer a week ago and couldn't be happier. Text quality excellent and very decent photo printing. Fast compared to my HP 680 and quiet too. Double sided (duplex) printing works suprisingly well. 4 ink tank system a great idea to reduce ink costs. Setup very easy. Amazing performance given how inexpensive a printer it is.

excellent quality printer
I just bought this printer to go with my new Canon Powershot S500. Love it! I've purchased matte, satin & glossy paper to compare. The satin look and feel the same as what I've received from film processed pictures.
