A lackluster step forward
Fun: Having enjoyed Guitar hero for ages, and Rock Band since its release, I found myself looking forward greatly to World Tour, in large part due to its new drumset peripheral with dedicated cymbals and an extra input. The infusion of a more party-centric set of instruments sounded good on paper. Thus, my pre-order of this game with early and full of anticipation.

Guitar Hero World Tour is an awesome game that is truely worth spending the money on. The new guitar controller is a blast and the touch sensors make the game both challenging and exciting. Ok game BAD HARDWARE

Much like others my drum pads were broke out of the box. Red wouldnt register when ever I hit more then one pad at a time on the first set. The second set is now randomly droping notes. Playing the game on expert with the GH drum was murder because of all the droped notes. When working though the cymbals are a great add. Once Again PS3 Users Get The Short End Of the Stick Drums Don't Work With Rock Band
Fun: A couple months back Sony required all peripherals to be compatible with each other. Meaning, Rock Band drums, mics, guitars, etc must work with Guitar Hero games and vice versa. Apparently nobody told the makers of Guitar Hero WT this, because the Guitar Hero WT drums do NOT work with Rock Band 2. Rock Band 2 drums work just fine in Guitar Hero WT though.

Faulty Equipment
Fun: Let me say that I own Rock Band 2 as well as purchasing this first thing Sunday..I used to be a bigtime Guitar Hero fan.
However, I soon round out, like many others, that the drum kit doesnt work well. Not only that...it does a HORRIBLE job at letting you know how other people are doing, so you may randomly fail while playing through a song and you could be thinking that you were doing awesome. This game is really fun. I love the instruments way better than rockband. The songs is the most amazing part. I dont care that rockband has more...the guitar hero songs are still better! Great in everyway but graphics but who cares when you dont even need to look at them to have fun!
